The Ex

Alex's POV
After talking to Hayley, I went back out to the tent and sat down to sign autographs and meet people. She was next. I couldn't even breathe. When we dated, it was great. But later on in the relationship, she started drinking and doing hardcore drugs (heroin, meth, ecstasy, prescriptions) I tried some of them every once in a while, when I felt stressed, but she was addicted. She would come home and be high of her ass and she'd hit me in the face or punch me in the stomach. She turned really violent all of a sudden and I was scared. I ended up moving in with Ellie, and Lacey dumped me a week later. I was relieved, but upset too. "You sure you can handle it? The whole band already agreed to kick her ass if you want" Ellie whispered in my ear, "I can do it" I smiled. Lacey walked up and leaned on the table "hey, cutie. You're doing pretty well for yourself, huh?" She was looking right at me. "Yeah....I am. What do you want me to sign?" Lacey laughed, "baby, I don't want you to sign anything. I want to be with you again, please I messed up real bad." I stood up and stared at her for a few seconds before pulling her aside. "What the fuck changed your mind?! We've been done for 2 years!" Just then, she grabbed me and forced her lips onto mine. I pushed her off, but by then, it was already too late. Hayley saw us. I saw her running away.

"Get out. If you ever come near me or any of my bandmates, you'll be sorry!" I told Lacey as she was being arrested. Ellie told them she was high as a kite so they tested her. It was positive. She's finally gone. "Thanks, El, I gotta go, I'll be back later though" I yelled, jogging toward the P-more bus. I knocked on the door and Jeremy answered, "hey, I don't think she really wants to talk" he frowned "look, can you ask her to just give me a chance to explain everything?" He turned around and walked back to talk to her. She came out and sat on the couch "Hayley, that kiss you saw, that was all Lacey. I wanted none of that. I hate her. Do you have any idea what she did to me?" Hayley looked up and nodded "well, she was horrible. The last few months of our relationship, and even after that was the worst time of my life. She started drinking heavily and doing hardcore drugs. She'd come home high, every night. I'd say hi, and I love you. You know what she'd do? She'd punch me in the face, or the stomach. She broke 3 of my ribs one time. After she broke it off, I started getting into heroin, heavily. Until my bandmates finally took me to an intervention and I went to rehab for a year. I came out clean and sober, but it still haunts me." At this point, I didn't even realize that I was sobbing. Hayley walked up to me and hugged me tightly, "I'm so sorry Alex. I had no idea. I believe you and I'm sorry for overreacting to that." I just hugged her and left. I got a text when I walked out though
Hayley:
How about, instead of the bonfire tonight, you and me go somewhere really fun? Let me know :-*
I stared at the text. Was Hayley asking me out? Then, I responded
Alex:
Are you asking me on a date Miss Williams? ;) because it's a yes. Meet you at 7 <3

Hayley's POV
So, after Alex told me about her bitch ex-girlfriend, I decided to make my move. I asked her on a date. I could be a way better girlfriend to her. I already like her and care about her enough I just have to make the move. Tonight, I would ask her to be my girlfriend.
