What is happening?

Hayley's POV
She just kissed me. Oh my god she kissed me. "Uhh-uh A-Alex, I don't want to come out yet." She looked at me and stood up. "Hayley, you're free now! You can come out and your agent won't care, Chad won't care, nobody will care! Look, I really like you, and I care a lot because I know how you're feeling, but if your fans care about who you love, then they're not even worth being your fans." She said angrily. I looked at her, and tears started streaming down my face "I can't Alex! I like you too! But Chad will come after me! He's a homophobe. He hates people like us, Al. I'm already scared enough of him." I opened the door and walked out crying. Alex followed me out, turned me around, and gave me a tight hug. "I'm so sorry Hayley, I didn't mean to upset you. I just want you to be happy and not be struggling. I think you should come out. I'll protect you. No matter what, I'll make sure he doesn't hurt you. I promise" I looked at her and she wiped my tears with her thumbs and kissed my forehead "ok, I'll do it. I'll get my agent to put a statement out on Twitter and the Paramore website" I smiled and went to the P-more bus to go to sleep, we had a big set tomorrow. I walked in and the guys were playing Xbox "hey guys, I'm gonna go to bed see ya tomorrow for the big set" I smiled and went to bed

Alex's POV
After Hayley went back to her band's tour bus, I walked back to my bus, and I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.
Hayley:
Hey, our agent made the statement already! I feel so much better, all we are getting is positive feedback! Anyway, just wanted you to know. Goodnight <3
I looked at it and I just couldn't stop smiling, I went to sleep right after I got it. When I woke up the next morning, I could hear my band mates talking in the back room. I got up and walked back there. "What the fuck are you guys doing?" I rubbed my eyes and stretched. Harper gave me a plate of food for breakfast and she patted the seat next to her. I sat down and started eating with them. "Guys, we have to get dressed. We actually have a set today" I chuckled a little and they laughed "ok, miss boss lady, I'll get right on that." Kelsey laughed, walking towards her closet. I got up and put on my blue sleeveless ATL shirt and some light blue skinny jeans with dark blue high tops. I waited in the tent for the rest of the band and they all showed up one at a time. Paramore came to their tent all together and Hayley smiled before going to the stage to set up. We all went backstage and talked for while until about 5 minutes before their set started. I was the last one to leave the backstage area, but Hayley turned me around and kissed me on the cheek before I left "can't wait to play for you" I smiled and she ran back to the stage.

Paramore was great. They played their greatest hits tonight and now it was our turn. We were setting up after Paramore got off the stage and fans started piling in. After we were all set up, we started playing our first song. Rock Show.

I looked around, intoxicated by all the people. It was amazing that people were actually singing to our songs. We were almost all the way through the song.

That's when I saw her. My ex-girlfriend, Lacey. I stopped singing and just stared. I dropped the mic and ran off stage, all the way to our bus. I could hear the band stop playing and announce the meet and greet we had today. They saw her too. Lacey was a good girlfriend. But she dumped me when we became famous. She said she couldn't handle it anymore. The last few months of our relationship, she had been a real jerk to me. She would yell and scream at me for anything and everything. She got into heavy drugs and sometimes she'd cheat on me or even hit me every once in a while. I was kind of relieved when she dumped me, but seeing her today, made me go back to that rough time. I heard the door open after a few minutes. It was Hayley. "thank god you're here! I need you right now" I hugged her and she rubbed my back. I started crying. I never cried in front of anyone. Hayley made me feel safe. "It's my ex Hayley. She hurt me. She cheated on me and she did drugs and I got into them too. It was the worst time of my life and now she's here!" Hayley squeezed me tighter "it's ok Al. I'll protect you." She pulled away and kissed my cheek. "Now, wipe your tears and get out there, I won't let anything happen to you."
