As soon as Caitlin polished off her fourth drink, I knew that she wouldn't remember this moment in the morning. I also knew that she became reckless and unfiltered when she was this drunk, but, for some reason, I couldn't gain control. Maybe it was because she couldn't gain control herself. Either way, I was stuck in the backseat when she needed me most.

Cisco gently helped her sit down on the steps alongside Jive, holding her arm and tucking her hair behind her ear as she shifted her weight. I could feel myself metaphorically smile. He was so good to her.

After they were both seated, he turned to her slowly. "Are you feeling a little better now?"

"Yeah, I think so," Caitlin pulled her dress down the sides of her body and rested her hands over her knees.

"Do you want me to go back inside?" He leaned forward and started to re-button his shirt. Even I could tell it was cold tonight.

"Could you actually stay here?" She yawned and stretched her arms up clumsily in the air. "I don't want to be alone."

"Of course," He smiled and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Anything for a friend like you."

"Thanks," She leaned over and laid her head down in Cisco's lap. "You're so nice to me."

"I try my best," His heartbeat picked up as he started to stroke her hair gently.

"Sometimes, it feels like you're the only one that's nice to me," Caitlin's voice cracked a little bit. She had officially reached the sad-drunk portion of the night.

"That's not true," Cisco's forehead wrinkled and his eyes cast downwards. "Everyone on Team Flash loves you. You and Frost are a part of our family."

"I know you guys love me," she sniffled as a tear rolled down her cheek. "I mean other people. All of my boyfriends are evil or dead or both."

"Maybe that's true," he laughed slightly and tucked her hair behind her ear. "But, that has nothing do you with anything you've done. It's just been a bunch of coincidences."

"Pretty shitty coincidences." She pouted a bit and flipped over to face him. "Why can't you just be my boyfriend? It would make things so much easier."

He let out an awkward laugh. Caity, you just messed up big-time.

"I guess you're right, but we're just friends." He itched his shoulderblade and placed his arm around her shoulder.

"You're my best friend, Cisco." She slurred his name a little bit and smiled peacefully.

"You're my best friend too, Caity." He sighed and looked off towards the boardwalk. The city looked ethereal with the lights reflecting against the water. She turned outwards and looked out at the water too before speaking.

"How hungover do you think I'll be tomorrow morning?" She asked seriously.

"On a scale of 1 to 10? Maybe an 8." He laughed and pulled away from her slightly, forcing her to sit up. He reached out a hand to her. "I think it's about time for you to head home. You seem pretty tired, and we do have work tomorrow."

"I wouldn't call Team Flash work, but you're right." She grabbed his hand and he pulled her up and into a hug. She was cold but he was warm, and I could feel their hearts beating slowly in-time with one another. I could tell neither one of them wanted to pull away, but why?

"I'll breach you there," He held up his hand and a blue portal hovered close to them. He motioned towards it like a butler and Caity giggled, walking towards the breach with heels dangling from her hand. She turned back to him just before disappearing.

"Bye, Cisco." She gave him a wave and we walked through, the world turning blue before transforming into our apartment.

"Frost," Caitlin groaned and sat up, holding the palm of her hand against her head

"Frost," Caitlin groaned and sat up, holding the palm of her hand against her head. The hangover had fully kicked in.

Good morning, sleepyhead. Feeling better?

"As good as you can after a night-out like yesterday." Caitlin sat up and slipped her feet into slippers before standing up. "Everything after the third drink is completely hazy."

I was wondering when you went over the edge.

She paused for a moment before speaking. "Did I do anything, I don't know, unlike me last night?"

I stayed quiet for a moment. Should I tell her what she said to Cisco? What she thought about him on the dance floor? It might be important to her, but it seemed like it was more trouble than it was worth.

"Frost?" She questioned. I steeled my nerves before continuing.

Nope, not that I noticed. You're all good.

"Okay, good." She sighed and walked out of her room and into the kitchen, grabbing a clear glass from the cabinet and filling it with water. "I was worried that I did something crazy or changed something important."

Little do you know, I think something did change last night. Something serious between you and Cisco Ramon.
