As I walked through the doors of S.T.A.R. Labs, I felt the tension in my shoulders drop. Strange as it seems, work has always been a happy place for me, even before I became a member of Team Flash. Sure, we're putting our lives on the line every single day to save the citizens of Central City, but we're a family. Barry, Ralph, Iris, Joe, Cisco, and me. Together no matter what happens.

Don't forget me!

I sighed aloud and began to speak. "I couldn't forget you, Frost. I was just thinking to myself again. You know I don't mean it."

I'm just kidding. You don't need to be so serious all the time, Caity.

I walked into the elevator and pressed the button for the lab's floor. "Sorry. I'm just under a lot of pressure right now."

You always are. You really need to take a break and live a little. I know Ralph would help you with that if you asked. If he taught me what it means to be, I don't know, human, then he could definitely teach you too.

"I think Ralph taught you a lot more than that." I teased as the elevator doors opened.

Shut up. I was just trying to help.

"Now you're the one being serious." I laughed as I stepped out into the foyer. The sun was bright today, shining through the skylights and blinding me a bit as I walked by, but it felt nice. We had been going through a bit of a Crisis recently, so Frost had been taking a turn at the driver's seat for the past couple of months. I hadn't been this excited for a day of work since I first started here, back when Dr. Wells was running S.T.A.R. Labs.

I hate the sun. I don't understand how people want to be outside when it's hot.

"Not all of us are cold-blooded like you." I joked as I set my bag down in the medical room. I took a good look around, and it seemed like I was the first one here. I turned on my computer and immediately started to declutter the dashboard. Frost wasn't the most organized doctor out there.

You try not owning any material goods for 28 years and see what happens.

"You have other strong suits." I smiled and walked into the cortex, where everything was just as I had left it. The only difference was a big glass whiteboard off to the side, covered in what looked like Cisco's handwriting. I wonder how he's been doing the past few weeks.

Not that great. Kamilla broke up with him, remember?

"I know," I said, starting a routine check on the satellites. "but you can be lonely and still be happy. I should know."

You're never alone, Caity. I'm always in your head, whether you like it or not.

"I guess you're right." I turned around just as a pair of familiar figures appeared in the doorway. A big smile spread across my face as I recognized two of my closest friends.
