Chapter 19
Tris' POV
I slowly ate my muffin under Luke's unwavering stare.
"Holy shit." I breathed.
"What's wrong?" He started to play with my hair, braiding it and such.
"What happened to Kenzie?" Luke retracted his hands and turned me so that I was directly facing him.
"She's with Calum. We told her you were-" Suddenly, a pained expression took over his features, "dead because we didn't want her trying to look for you."
I stared at him for a moment, "Do you know what you just did?" He stared right back.
"Apparently not. So I guess that means I can't see her?" I dragged the last few words on a bit.

Third Person's POV
Kenzie glanced at the attractive boy who claimed to be her soul mate. She then glanced back at the box he'd brought inside.
"So can I kick it?"
"Why the hell would you kick an abnormally large box?" Calum chuckled.
Kenzie felt curious, yet excited about the box. It was about the size of a large table, and big enough to fit into. She'd discovered it just sitting on the doorstep and had Calum bring it inside for her.
Just to prove to Calum that she's stubborn enough to do it, she kicked the box.
"WHAAT? What kinda frickle dickle's going on out there?" In response to that voice, Kenzie now frozen in her place, heard a quiet laugh in reply.
"Calum..." Kenzie felt a sudden wave of fear consume her.
"Hah, it's fine, babe. Just open it."
Kenzie cautiously left the quite heavy lid off of the box to find her dead- or supposed to be dead, best friend and Luke, whom she'd met a few days after Calum 'kidnapped' her.
"What the fuck?" Her voice was surprisingly calm.
"Hey?"
