8. Act eight

The sound of Bens whimpers filled the house. Although no one seemed to hear them, except for his sister. Alyssa woke up from the sound of Bens whimpers. She wanted to comfort him, like she did the times he would have a nightmare. This happened often, and when it did Alyssa would be the only one to go comfort him.

She was tippy toeing down the hall way on her way to his bedroom trying so hard not to make a creaking noise. If she we're to get caught dad would punish her. Which she was use to because it's like I said she would comfort him but she'd get caught at times. She'd do anything for that boy she loves so much, her brother Ben.

Soon after moments later she opened Bens bedroom door, she saw him moving around uncomfortably, sweat on his forehead, him whimpering, and crying. "Shhhh it's okay Ben I am here now" he was still crying she shook him "Ben, Ben" he woke up panting looking around  then looked at Alyssa and hugged her like if it was the last hug they would share. She hugged back whispering "it's okay I am here for you, and will always be here for you...talk to me...Ben please" the lights were flickering, the House was shaking, breaking everything, windows, picture frames, she could hear the plates shatter from down stairs.

Out of nowhere it just stopped and just turned black "Ben!"Alyssa started to panic, her breath hitched trying to catch her breath. She soon found herself drowning under cold water, the water was black, All she saw was the bright lights flickering again. A few seconds later she was in a dark room, her body all wet with cold water. Behind her she heard the sound of  a light turn on she turned around, and saw no one the light turned off and turned back on but Ben was standing under the light then blood splattering from him. "Ben!! No stop!" Yelled Alyssa. It felt too real for her.

"Lia!"

"Lia!"

Alyssa!"

She woke up gasped, panting, breathing hard, she had a few tears on her face. Her eyes shut trying to calm down. As soon as she saw five she pulled him into a tight hug. Never wanting to let go. She pulled away. "Lia are you ok?" His eyes softened as he saw the tears in her cheeks. Making eye contact with her " I am fine it was just a..a bad dream don't worry ok?" " why are you here?" Her heart ached, she cringed at the sound of her voice saying that. She didn't mean it. She didn't want it to come out like that.

"Remember I told you I was going to come for you?  and I knew something was wrong" " oh I forgot, and how did you know something was wrong not that their was" Alyssa exclaimed as she was chewing on her top lip. five smiled, and chuckled softly realizing she still hasn't stopped that habit. Five hesitated to sit down on the sofa beside her but still sat down with her. "Well actually I don't know I just get a feeling that their something wrong when I am away from you" Alyssa smiled and looked down her eyes landing on his sleeve, covered his forearm that was bloody.

She grabbed his arm, he tried to pull his arm away jee but she didn't let go she pulled his sleeve up. He sighed when he saw her face. She didn't look happy. "Shit, what happened?" " I will explain everything at vanya's, can you heal it for me there?" "Of course" she agreed while smiling."Let's go?" "Mhm" He held his hand out she grabbed it and both walked out of The Academy.

The streets dripping from the cold rain that poured earlier. Alyssa liked the petrichor of the rain. The two of them walking down the streets. Cars passing by. The street light shining a bright yellow, and white, Some street lights flickering.

Alyssas Jean jacket wrapped around her small body trying to keep her warm. Her cheeks, and nose a light shade of purple and red from the coldness. Their was comfortable silence between them, but awkward at the same time. She found herself now looking at his forearm that was bloody and asked "Are you sure you don't want me to heal it?" Wanting the Desire to heal it, and use her ability since she hasn't in a long time. "Lia it's ok you can heal it at vanya's"

" ok...are you sure?"  she reassured him. Five laughed "Alyssa..I am sure" "fine" she mumbled. He was for sure still cocky, he was more mature then he already was, and stubborn. He kept his distance. She didn't realize they were in front of vanya's apartment. I guess talking to five, and getting lost in her thoughts kept her distracted. Five spoke up.

"Ok you might want to hold on" Five told her as he grabbed her waist. Not even a few seconds pass, the two of them in vanya's room. " oh god, It's been a long..time since we've done that." She said as she had one hand over her stomach, and the other on her head feeling a bit dizzy, as her stomach felt weird. Her eyes shut, opened them after a few seconds later.

Five sighed realizing vanya had not locked her windows. He looked around, and sat down next to Alyssa motioning her to heal him. She nodded back in response. She pulled his sleeve up, revealing the bloody wound that obviously looked painful. Her pale smooth hand hovering over it. Focusing on the image that was in her mind, clearing her thoughts, and started to baste(stitch)his skin. A light starting to glow on her palms reflecting on both their faces, His pain being taken away and up into her hands. Her veins darkened into a gray color, before turning back to its natural color.

Seconds later, his wound was truant, leaving his pale smooth skin back to how it was. Five just stared at the light starting to fade away. It brought a warm feeling something he felt all the time when they were young, their memories came to him. Although his blood was stained on his forearm, sleeve, and the rest of his clothes. Their attention was brought to the door hearing footsteps walking towards it. Dangling keys, and unlocking the door, twisting the door knob. Vanya entered her room all drowsy, but got startled when her lamp light turned on revealing five and Alyssa. She gasped leaning backwards showing that they startled her.

"Jesus!"  " you should have locks on your windows."
She sighs "I live on the second floor." Rapist can climb." "Mhm." Alyssa agreed "you are gorgeous women. Guys could go for you." Vanya let a chuckle escape her lips. She turned around closing the door and said " you both are so weird." She closed the door behind her, placing her coat on the sofa, approaching the two of them. Vanya sitting next to Alyssa.
