I close the door behind me once Bang Si-Hyuk leaves my office. The moment he said Big Hit Entertainment I immediately knew who he was. My mind is still buzzing from what just happened. The CEO of Big Hit Entertainment wants me to design seven of his studio's.
The CEO of Big Hit Entertainments asked for me!
I have no idea how he heard of me or found me, because honestly.. the work I have done so far is not enough to catch the attention of someone like Bang Si-Hyuk. But I can't even worry about that, this is a huge opportunity for me and I can't wait to get started.
I hear someone clear their throat and I look up from the spot I was staring at on the floor. My boss looks incredibly mad and if I'm being honest, I kind of forgot he was still here. "Miss Choi." I suck in a breath as I make my way back to my desk and take a seat behind it. "Yes?" I say, making eye contact with him while trying to keep a straight face. This man scares me and I'm pretty sure he knows this, but I don't want to show him that he intimidates me. "I told you to decline this client and his offer. Why did you go against my direct order?" I let out a sigh, which seems to make him even more angry. "I took this project because I know I can do this. You should be happy an important man like Bang Si-Hyuk wants one of your designers."
"I want Bang Si-Hyuk to want one of my top tier designers, I know how important he is. He is the CEO of one of the biggest entertainment companies in the world! That's why I wanted you to decline and you should have declined his offer! You are supposed to listen to me, I am your boss and when I tell you to decline a project, you do as I say!"
I stay silent for a moment, trying to figure out what I can say. He's my boss, so I should do what he tells me to do. But that doesn't mean that I should do everything he tells me to do. I mean, I wouldn't jump off of a bridge if he told me to do that. I wouldn't go to bed with him if he told me that I had to. "Listen, I took on this project because it's a great opportunity. Besides that, I can finally show you that I can do more than all these simple projects high-schoolers could do. Just let m-"
"No! You are gonna go to this meeting on Friday and you'll tell him that you can't do this project. I'll give you a list of the designers that I know can do this project so you can give that to him." I scoff and shake my head. I get up from my seat and stare him dead in the eye. "I will do no such thing! I have given this company all of my efforts and time, with hopes of finally earning more of your trust and be able to do bigger and better projects. But it's obvious you got your favorites and it's also obvious that you don't care about your other employees. So yes, I'll go to the appointment I made with Bang Si-Hyuk, but I won't tell him that I can't do the project!"
I'm scolding myself in my head, because I shouldn't disrespect my boss. This conversation could cost me my job and I really don't want to lose my job. But.. I'm sick and tired of always getting these stupid children bedroom projects. I am a creative person and yes, children love my designs. It just doesn't mean that it's the only thing I can do. I'm capable of so much more and I'm thankful that he let me design the offices on the third floor, I just want to show him that he can trust me to do this right.
