Cleaning & Bad day at Black Rock

With Zak at the museum and you bored in the house for the rest of the day, you decided to clean.

Yes, Zak does keep the house clean but since he was on investigation last week, you had made quite a mess.

You get put on your workout clothes and strap your phone to yourself before putting on your headphones and starting with the kitchen.

After rinsing and putting the dishes in the washer, you get a bucket of water and mix it with Pinsol. You get the mop and start wiping down the kitchen.

"Gray!" A head of white fur comes into the kitchen, making you smile and bend down to pet her.

Gracie nuzzles into your hand and licks your face. "I love you too, Gray. Go play with Mr. Pig." You pick up her toy and throw it out into the garden before continuing with cleaning and jamming out to music.

(Time Skip)

Time to do the living room and bedroom, you start sweeping under the couch and under the table.

"I don't need it. You can keep your money." You sing along to Jussie Smollett's song from Empire.

(Don't judge! I'm a huge Empire fan!)

You take the wood cleaner and wipe off the dust on Zak's bookshelf. Your phone starts to ring and you press the button to answer.

'Hello?'
'Hey, babe. I have a little break and I thought that I'd check in on you. What you up to?'
'Cleaning the house because I left it a pigsty.'
'*chuckles* Well, thank you. I was going to do that when I got home so I appreciate it.'
'Totally. It was my mess anyways. Why should you have to clean it up?'
'You're cute.'

You noticed the sigh after he said that, meaning that he was having a bad day which often happens when he's home.

'Hey, what's wrong? You sound upset.'
'It's nothing. Just people who don't know how to do their fucking job right. No! That goes in the serial killer room and that goes in the Kevorkian room!'
'Good thing, they have you there or else it would fall apart huh?'
'Yeah, if not then I'm gonna turn homicidal.'
'Do you want me to let you go?'
'Nah, I'm just enjoying your voice right now.'
'Always a charmer, Bagans. But seriously, get back to work.'
'Can't I talk to you for a little longer?'
'No, Zachary. Get back to your museum.'
'Alright. I love you, I'll see you when I get home.'
'I love you, too. Bye.'
'Bye, baby.'

You hang up the phone and finish with the bookshelf before going to the bedroom.

You make the bed and put all of your and Zak's dirty clothes in the laundry bin while 'Talking Body' by Tove Lo comes on.

You sway your hips to the lyrics of the song as you make your way to the laundry room, singing along.

Separating the clothes by color, you throw in the blacks first before heading back to the bedroom to clean the bathroom.

(Time Skip)

After cleaning the tub and toilet, you move to the sink to organize your utilities.

Putting yours and Zak's toothbrush in the holder, you clean any excess toothpaste that may have fallen into the sink.

Your alarm rings, remembering to take your birth control. You fill up one of the paper rinsing cups and knock back the pill before going to sit on the bed, taking a break.
