Light Yagami would never admit it, but he was lonely. He would just convince himself that he didn't need friends and go on about his seemingly perfect life. Light, obviously had friends. He was a popular guy after all. The thing is, his friends weren't enough. He needed a smart person to talk about smart stuff, that his less intelligent friends didn't understand. So when he saw an ad for a 'make friends' app, he downloaded it, even if he didn't think that it would work.

He made an account and created his profile.

Gender: Male

What I am like: I am a hardworking student, who is looking for a friend. My interests include tennis, books and solving mysteries.

What I am looking for in a friend: Someone who I can have an intelligent conversation with.

And then he started to look at his recommendations. Nothing really interested him. They all sounded like the plain, boring people he met everyday. But, well, the app was made up from real people, so most of the profiles probably were boring. He closed the app and just went to sleep. It's not like he will ever find someone as smart as he was anyway.

The next day Light woke up to a phone notification. It was a notification from the friendship app, whatever it's name was. Someone had requested a conversation with him.

The most informative thing on this profile was the username and that said something. Well, Light had nothing to do either, so why not talk to this guy? Light accepted the request.
