Time Travelers - The beginning

We continued to track darko but in my free time I read up on the legend the guys believed I was. I found a book that was titled the myth and legend. I started reading and found there was more to the story then I believed.

History is written and destiny can be changed but for one girl, her fate was written as a prophecy. She was to become a legend, who stood in the face of danger to save her loved ones. Her name was rubrum meaning red. Before she even came along her destiny was written by ancient Greeks. She was to win the war by sacrificing herself to save millions. For years her family tried to find a way to reverse or change her fate but there was no way that anyone could change it. She trained for years to prepare for the war but as she breathed her last breath she whispered the words it shall come back and another will fall. For centuries the world tried to prepare for the darkness and find the hero but no one knew who they would be. The future is dim for the world unless the final battle is won and the darkness is defeated forever by our hero.

I finished reading and wondered if I could be that hero or it was just a coincidence that I'm like red. Whatever it may be I knew that I needed to fight for my family. "We finally have a hit on a location." Yelled Carter. "Buckle up ." Yelled peter. "Next stop 1789." Laughed luke.

We landed and searched till we found the mansion that was the location. "Stay out here, I'll go in. He is here for me, keep this safe no matter what happens." I said handing my key to carter and putting on a fake. "What, your not going in alone." Said carter. "Carter, she has too." Said ben. "Shes the boss, we listen." Said Newt. "No she isnt going in alone." Said carter. I nodded my head and luke stunned carter. "I'm sorry but we knew you wouldnt let me go alone." I said before leaving the guys.

I got inside the mansion and sitting in the middle of the room was my parents. I ran and hugged them. "Darko, where is she?" I said facing a laughing darko. "Oh, you wont see her till I get what I came for." He said. I handed him the key and he threw my grandmother next to my parents. "Thank goodness you guys are ok." I said untieing them. "You shouldn't have given him the key." Said my father. I just smiled and said " did I really give him the key? Let's leave." I walked toward the door when darko stopped me. "They can leave, you wont." He said having guards grab me. "Let her go." Yelled my father. "Dad, I'll be ok. Get mom and grandma out, the people outside that door will get you home safely and I promise I'll get out." I said. They left and darko threw me in a cell on a ship which I figured was his time travel ship. I didnt know what would happen to me but I knew my family was ok. 

They walked out the door to find the guys sitting on the ground waiting. "Who are you?" Asked peter and ben pointing their ray guns. "Alice's parents and her grandmother." Said my mom. "Wheres alice?" Asked peter. "Darko has her." Said my father. "Let's get you guys home." Said luke leading them towards the ship.  Carter slowly woke in his room and he ran to the main room yelling "where is she?" Everyone looked at him but didnt say anything. "No...no... she  cant....why?" He asked sitting in a chair. "Its her fate, the one that's been written for centuries. She's rubrum's great great great great granddaughter."said my grandmother. "We figured she was going to be the next legend." Said peter. "She read so much about it." Said Carter. They continued to talk until they got home. "Promise us, you'll bring her home safe." Said my mom. "I can promise that we wont stop until she is safe at home again." Said  Carter.

I heard the chatter of people, I couldnt see anything. The air was cold and mist hit my face as a blindfold was removed. In front of me stood darko. "You do as I say and you might see your pathetic family again. " he said looking at a computer screen. I looked around, I was strapped down to a dentist chair and hooked up to machines. "Ok, what do you want?" I asked scared. "Figure out how to make this thing grant a wish and you have to lure your idiot friends here. I have business with them." He said leaving the room. I lied there wondering if I could betray my friends to see my family again. I realized what I had to do, not matter what happened I couldnt change this decision.

Darko came back in about an hour later and said "what will it be? Help me and see your family or die here."  "I choose to help you." I said then he released me. I was given my key back which was the fake. I was to get to the ship and make the guys come back with me and I was followed and tapped so I couldnt escape.

I got to the ship and opened the door. I saw the guys crying, I wanted so bad to change my mind but I couldnt, I made a pact that I couldnt change the decision. "Hey guys." I said walking towards them. "Alice..." said ben standing and staring at me. Carter didn't say anything but ran and hugged me. "How are you back?" Asked luke. "He released me." I said. "He released you, that's great." Said peter. "Yeah but I found this really cool place I want to show you guys." I said motioning for them to follow. I realized what I was doing was wrong but I made my decision.

We got to the place, guards grabbed the boys and unarmed them. "How could you alice?" Yelled Ben. I looked away crying. "I loved you and you do this to us." Screamed Carter. "You'll understand in the end." I yelled back. "Your a traitor. Your not our family." Yelled Carter and peter. I ran off crying, I couldnt bear the pain of what they said. "What's wrong, friends call you a traitor." Laughed darko. I punched a wall, which made my hand bleed.

As soon as the guys were put in cells, I went to see them. "What do you want traitor?" Asked ben rudely. "I did this to save us." I said. "Save us? You did it to save yourself." Said luke disgusted. "You'll understand why I made this decison in the end. "I said sitting across from the cells. "What do you mean in the end?"asked peter. "At the end of this , whatever it is." I said. Carter sat silently in the corner. "Carter, can you please at least say something?" I asked. "Alice, I dont understand anything anymore, ok. One moment I loved someone the next they betrayed me and their friends." He said. "You guys dont understand what I'm risking with this. I could lose all of you forever and my family on top of it. If I make a wrong move you guys will be hurt. I'm hoping with everything I have left that this will work and maybe one day you will see each other again." I said leaving. "What do you mean maybe see each other again?" Yelled newt.

I got upstairs and was told to work on finding the secret to the key wish. I tried and tried but no luck. Darko kept demanding I find out, I convinced him i needed to be on a specific point in time and a perfect place.
