A month of constant wedding planning, and the day was finally here. People from all over were coming to watch the king of azgeda and the princess of Arkadia unite. Constant horse shoes could be heard as everyone prepared the final touches for the big day. The day that would be remembered in history as the day death married the mighty king.

Clarke's hands trembled as the maids did her hair into tiny braids. Her palms were sweating and she blocked out anything anyone said to her as she thought about the upcoming events.

Roan was just as nervous but for completely different reasons, he was scared to finally unite himself with somebody. And even though there was nobody else for him it still terrified him to think that after today he would not be a lone wolf. After today he would be a husband to the most beautiful girl he had ever met. Opening his heart to Clarke wasn't hard but putting his life in her hands was something else. Not because he worried that Clarke would get him hurt or killed but because it meant she would no longer have one life to worry about but two. As any husband and wife on the ground do.

"My king."Echo entered the room with her hands behind her back.

"Echo."He responded blandly.

"You are nervous?"Echo observed allowed, she had never seen her king so nervous. Not even in battle or after his fathers death.

"Slightly."

"There's no shame in that Roan."

Roan only nodded in response and Echo left the room soon after so he could finish getting prepared and ready for the royal wedding. His wedding.

Grounders were taking their places in the throne room where the binding of blood and cuts on Clarke's face would take place.

"Your majesty were ready for you"

Roan moved from his seat and grabbed the drug to ease the pain for Clarke when he cut open her fragile skin.

He walked proudly holding his head high with the white pill between his finger tips. Traditionally Clarke was meant to feel the pain of the cuts and the scarring to show she is ice nation. But Roan did not care much for tradition when it came to the suffering of his love.

The golden doors were opened and everyone turned to face him as he walked down the aisle. Wearing fancier grounder attire. With a white cloak that hung loosely over his hidden armor.

Roan stood proudly not as the king but as a future husband in front of the throne and the man that would bind their hands together.

A man and woman with magical voices began to sing the song that was sung at every royal wedding.

It was a beautiful song and the lyrics were truly captivating. The whole room started to slow as the doors were once again opened and the beautiful queen walked in.

Everyone's mouths gaped open at the sight of the warrior wearing a white wedding dress that sparkled in the little sunlight entering the room. Even her worst enemies saw her beauty.

Roan was the only one who didn't have his mouth agape because he already knew how beautiful Clarke was. Instead he had a small smirk on his lips as she walked down the aisle towards him with her head held high.

Surprisingly, everyone bowed as she passed by gracefully. This wasn't mandatory and it had never happened before that everyone in the room respected the lover of the crown to bow before her. But Clarke was different, Clarke was respected and adored among not only the kingdom but the twelfth clans. Even if the other clans would never admit their respect for the queen it was evident.

Clarke stood with her head held high as she peered through the glittery veil and into Roans gorgeous eyes. She held out her delicate and cleaned hands. He gladly took them and held them in his own which were much larger than hers.
