Clarke's stomach burned as she woke up. She reached up so she could convey her surroundings. She was in her and Roans room.

"Hey your awake."Echo called from the sofa on the opposite side of the room.

Echo was soon at Clarke's side holding her. They sat in silence.

"My baby's dead."Clarke whispered and her tone of voice could break even her worst enemies hearts.

Echo wiped the tears from under Clarke's eyes. When she looked at her broken friend she knew that whoever did this would regret it. Whoever did this would not only pay with their life but the life of the people he cared for.

This was the start of a war.

"Where is Roan?"Clarke asked weakly as she stood up from the bed.

She craved to sit back down but she had to get justice for her dead child.

"He is in the throne room the generals are trying to find out who did this to you. Who did this to you?"Echo asked hesitantly, afraid of the answer that would come.

Clarke did not answer Echo's question instead she pulled on her royal white corset and black trousers. The clothes weren't comfortable and they were tight against her skin but she didn't care. The pain was nothing to the pain she felt when her child was dying inside of her. And the memory of that pain kept her pushing through.

The hallways were lit up with only candle light it was midday. That much Clarke could tell from the amount of light entering through the dented windows.

The throne room doors opened and she walked in ignoring the stares of the warriors and Roans best advisors as she took her place next to Roan at the head of the table.

The whole room was tense.

"Your highness who did this to you they must pay."

Clarke glared the warrior down as if it weren't obvious they would pay.

"It was skycrew."Clarke declared causing the whole room to light up in murmurs.

"Silence."Roan shouted seeing how impatient Clarke was becoming.

"What do you want us to do?"Echo asked from the doorway.

Clarke looked to Roan silently asking for permission to give the order he nodded knowingly down at her.

"I want every skycrew soldier brought here, we kill them all and leave the innocent."

"Meeting dismissed."Roan announced and everyone left the throne room leaving Clarke and Roan alone for the first time since she had been brought in covered in blood.

They did not talk. Everything that could be said had been said. Maybe not aloud. But they both thought what the other was thinking so it didn't need to be said out loud.

Instead he held her in his arms.

"I'm so sorry my love I promise we will get justice."Roan assured and Clarke could only believe that the man who shot her would one day die.

Clarke wouldn't care if she had to kill him herself. He wasn't innocent and he definitely didn't deserve a second chance. Not after he killed the heir to the throne, her child. So if it meant she became wanheda again that wouldn't matter. Her heart hurt to much to even think about the blood that would be on her hands because of her direct orders.

Clarke and Roan broke away from the embrace. He stroked her once blonde hair that was now stained red from the blood behind her ear.

Clarke smiled up at him as he wiped the falling tears from under her tired eyes.
