“Pots! Tangina! Yung girlfriend mo dito sa dorm, tinotopak na naman! An gaga, ang init ng ulo!” That’s the first thing I’ve heard the moment I answered Ella’s call.
“What? Why?”
“Puntahan mo nalang kaya?”
“Sige. I’ll just take a bath. Be there in a few” I said and ended the call.
Ang sarap ng tulog ko eh kasi walang training. Hays. But priorities first.
My baby is naturally grumpy naman talaga but for Ella to call me this early, malamang, iba na naman ang mood ng libero na masungit.
As I let the water flow on my body, iniisip ko bakit masungit si Dennise ng ganitong oras. At hindi pa niya ako naalalang tawagan ah.
“Oh shit!!” I mumbled.
How the fuck did I forget?!
It’s the time of the month!
I prepared myself. My baby surely needs me!

“Ate can I go inside?” I asked the guard of their dorm.
“Aba, oo naman” sabi niya “may dalaw ba?” dagdag niya.
“Opo eh kaya sinusungitan yung mga teammates” sabi ko sabay kamot sa batok.
“Oh sige na akyat ka na, send my regards to dencio ha?” she said kaya ngumiti muna ako at nagpasalamat.
“Where’s Dennise?” I asked Jia pagdating ko sa dorm nila.
“Nasa kwarto niya kuya. We never dared to ask her what’s with her today, though” Jia answered.
Nagtataray na naman siguro si Dennise.
“Sige thanks baby Ji. I’ll go upstairs na” I bid and gave her the boxes of pizza I bought for them.
“Kuya aly!! Pahingi naman niyan oh!” Ponggay said and pointed to the plastic bag that I am holding.
“Nope! This is for denden. It’s the time of the month eh” I said to her “Meron akong dala para sa inyo nandoon kay baby Ji” I added.
“Wow thanks kuya kaya love ka namin eh!” she said and laugh.
Napailing nalang ako and proceeded to my denden’s room.
As I opened the door, nakita ko siya agad na nakahiga. She winces in pain as she holds her tummy. Time of the month talaga ni Dennise.
“Hey, love” I greeted.
She looke at me and pouted.
“It hurts love” she said.
I walked towards her. Aw my baby is in pain.
“Time of the month mo talaga eh no?”
Dennise nodded.
“You want to cuddle? Let’s cuddle. Take a rest. Did you eat breakfast na? Take painkillers” I said.
“I already did love. But it still hurts” she pouted again.
Can Dennise stop being so cute?!
I sat on her bed, resting my back on the headboard.
“Take a nap. Paggising mo, wala na ang sakit. Come here” I said opening my arms.
Lumapit naman siya agad. She rested her head on my chest as I comb her hair with my fingers.
“I brought you some sweets and snacks. I know you need it” I said and kissed her head.
“Thank you” she whispered.
