Mommy laugh, “Okay then, I’ll give you a week to prepare anak, get Dennise, she’s perfect for you, besides, it’s your anniversary”. With that, she stand up and go to the kitchen leaving Alex and Greg who’s been best friends since birth.
“Well then, I remember tita Lita gave you the ring that tito Ruel gave to her as an engagement ring, right? I think it’s just right for you to give that to her, I mean it’s been what? 5 generations?” Greg said but he’s not sure.
“Ring?” I asked.
“Don’t tell me nakalimutan mo na? You’re the one who doesn’t stopped bugging me for that, diba-“
“Yes, I know that, pero saan ko nalagay?”
“What?” simpleng tanong ni Greg. “Gago, seryoso ka ba?”
Kinapa ko ang aking wallet. It’s big enough for everything that I need. I also put there everything that is important.
Binuksan ko ito pero halos itapon ko lahat ng laman, pero wala pa din akong makitang singsing.
Tumingin ako kay Greg with wide eyes, “Puta”.

“Besh, ang sakit na ng paa ko at gutom na din talaga ako, we’ve been roaming around here for hours, palabas pasok tayo sa shops, nakakabente na ata tayong shops eh, wala ka pa din bang nakikita?” reklamo ni ella.
“Besh, naiirita na ako sa’yo.Tumigil ka nga”
“Eh ano ba kasi hanap mo, huh? Ang daming affordable or mahal, makintab, maganda, malaki at maliit na mga motor na ang nadadaanan natin ah, wala pa din?” parang lantang gulay na tanong ni Ella.
“Wala eh, walang spark, parang sa bawat motor na malalagpasan natin, di ko maimagine si Alex na masaya, yung tipong...”
Napatingin si Ella kay Den ng tumigil ito sa pagsasalita, “Huy, ano na?”
Nang hindi pa din nagsasalita ang isa, sinundan niya ng tingin ang tinititigan ni Dennise.
“Really? We’ve been roaming around almost half day and you’ll end up on a second hand motorcycles?”
Hindi siya pinansin ni Den at naglakad papasok ng shop. Dun sinalubong siya ng isang Hapon na nagbebenta.
“Affordable second hand motorcycles!” masiglang sabi nito na may accent pa.
I pointed at the motor, “This, how much?”
The man smiled, “25K, almost brand new, no scratch. All of the gadgets, give it free to you”
“Okay, I’ll get it”
“Teka teka, besh huh, ano ba to? Lokohan? Bakit eto?” Tanong ni Ella.
“It’s perfect” i said to her and smile.
“Define perfect please”
“The blue and black combination of the color is perfect, the shade is just how Alex loves it. It’s tall enough for him, the tires is not that thick but not too thin, besides, mukha naman siyang brand new” I explained to her.
“Huh” sabi ni ella, “Naku, bahala ka nga diyan, ikaw naman magbabayad, sana ma impress mo si Alex diyan.”
