PUZZLING SONNET

The punishing puzzle the people of the world dwell in;

The Sudoku of life

The unknown mystery that mauls the senses,

Making them cry of failure;

The introspection resulting in inchoate ideas, they have

The obvious overtness, they disregard

The threatening torment that tumbledown on them together with terror

The peculiar pleasure that floods their veins with strangeness

The darkness that follows daylight

The daylight that follows darkness

Makes me wonder! – wonder if!

the world is black of distress

or white of delight

or is it a simultaneous black and white?
