There was a knock on the door, Xiao Yan looked over from where she was pouring tea for her miss while BaiGui who had just came back from training moved from his spot next to YiRong to the door, planning to answer.
As the door creaked open, it revealed a girl standing there: Zheng YiLing. Almost immediately, BaiGui wanted to close the door on her but with a look from YiRong, he stepped aside and let the girl in- albeit rather reluctantly.
"Go wait outside," YiRong told BaiGui and Xiao Yan, to which they complied. With the two now alone, YiRong turned to look at YiLing.
"What brings my dear sister here?" YiRong asked, brow raised in amusement.
"I.. I wanted to apologize..." the girl started off "I was very rude this morning and constantly jumped to conclusions..." YiRong chuckled.
Logically speaking, when someone was transferred to another world after dying in their previous one, it'll come to shock and ultimately cloud their judgement; especially so after YiRong scared YiLing with the knowledge that she knew there was a different soul residing in her sister's body.
YiRong herself had six months to adapt to the situation when she was unconscious but the assassin had not even a minute, so of course she wouldn't be as sharp as she was in her previous world yet. However, once her soul adapts to this world, she'll be the great heroine of the story that will shake the very core of the world.
"... Then, how do you plan to repay me? After all, you nearly insulted me into tears," YiRong asked with a smile while YiLing's eyes could only twitch.
"I.. don't know how to repay you, especially since you took care of the previous soul's body, but! I don't leave any debt unpaid."
"That's good," YiRong replied with a chuckle. "I would love to see the waves you stir in the future, so don't disappoint me."
Hello everyone! Author here and you're probably wondering why the chapter was so short and well, I guess this is the reason.
So recently I've been losing a lot of motivation to write anything at all, and to be honest, I forgot this story even existed for awhile. I've been busy as well doing my schoolwork and I've been playing a game I recently got and reading a lot of danmei so my mindset itself is not even in the right genre.
What I mean to say is right now I plan to discontinue the book. Well, what I really mean is that I won't have the complete tag on in case I do come back in the future (which is very very very unlikely).
Perhaps I'll continue this but for now I definitely won't and to those who waited for chapters (for literally months now) I'm sorry you had to come in to this note.
Nevertheless, hopefully you are all doing well and I hope you enjoyed what you've read.
Thank you so much.
