Serene's POV:
Darkness swept over me and engulfed me in it's cold embrace . Nothing and No one was there to help me , all alone with just the dark for company. I tried screaming but my voice was silenced , what's happening . I tried screaming again and suddenly ...
"Serene , hunny wake up ."
I open my eyes to see my mum , Aunt Marie and Rose standing beside my bed with huge grins on their faces. The moment they see that I'm fully awake they start singing
"Happy Birthday to you , Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Serene... Happy Birthday to you "
And one by one they hug me , Aunt Marie hugs me first and then hands me a box
"Happy birthday my dear and for your first gift , all your Favorite Baked goodies "
"Thank you Aunt Marie, they look and smell delicious "
After that she left to go make breakfast, Rose was up next with a huge box in her hands
"Happy Birthday Cuz , since I know you didn't have time to shop for birthday clothes I did it for you and I got these amazing heels to go with "
I opened the box to find an amazing royal blue off shoulder knee length dress with these beautiful black wedge heels
"These look stunning thank you"
"Well it would look even more stunning on you later "
She left soon after and then Dad came in and gave me one of those bone crushing family hugs
"Happy birthday Kiddo "
I looked at them for a minute and finally realised that with my birthday comes the transformation
"Don't worry pup , we will all be right there with you Okayy "
I smiled at my parents and assured them that I'll be fine but inside I was dreading night fall , when the moon reached it's peak.
The afternoon came by quicker that I thought but then again I was occupied the whole day . First we all had a good ole family breakfast then Dad walked me throughout the pack because of the tradition that on a pack members birthday every other person in the pack gives out their blessings . After receiving blessings from everyone I decided to go play with the pups whom might I add had alot of energy so by three O'Clock I decided to take a nap but was interrupted at four by Rose because I was to 'prepare 'myself for my own birthday party so right now I'm standing infront of my mirror doing some last minute check ups before Rose comes in and scolds me for anything been wrong and not a minute later she walks in well more like rolls in with style,as she always says
"Omg!! Look at you , you look AMazinggggg"
"Thanks Rose, shall we go downstairs now"
"Oh hell yes , wait until clayton see's you , his not going to be able to look away"
At that I simply blush . When we got downstairs I was led outside to where Rose said both our pack and Clayton's pack was . Once outside I was been hugged and wished by those in the BlackCresentmoon pack. Soon clayton's parents found me and they wished me and of course Lunala was only focused on finding clayton
'Where's mate?'
'Can you be patient, his around here somewhere '
Just then Ryan comes by
"If you're looking for Clayton , his over there by the fountain . His to nervous to come over here"
I lightly laugh at how cute that is then walk over to clayton and before I could even reach him , he turns around and his about to say something but he just looks at me as if his in a trans and so I smile and decide to break the silence even though I didn't mind just standing there and looking at him.
"Did you come here just to stand all by your self ? "
He seemed to break out of his day dream and awkwardly coughed and soon he turned a light shade of pink
"No I was just waiting for you , that's all"
"Oh is that so "
I couldn't take it anymore , I just started laughing
"Hey don't be rude and no one said the guy couldn't be nervous right"
"You're so cute , you know that"
Realizing I said that out loud I turned away from him and looked towards the crowd where I saw Rose and Ryan giving me a thumps up . Clayton then moves to stand in front of me and he has that annoying smirk on his face
"So I'm cute huh"
Not wanting to blush and embarrass myself by rambling nonsense I changed the topic by thankfully noticing a small box in his hands
"Erm ... what's that in your hands? "
"Oh this , It's a surprise so close your eyes"
"Are you serious!"
He gave me a serious look instead
"Alright fine... but no tricks "
I close my eyes and hear him move around then his standing behind me and he moved closer. I then felt something cool touch my chest
"You can open your eyes now love"
When I do , I see everyone looking at us with warm smiles . I smile back and then look down and see that it was a necklace placed there . It had a beautiful cresent moon pendant on it with my initials engraved in blue . Clayton stood at my side and smiled at me
"You like it?"
"I love it , Thank you "
And before I can second guess it , I hugged him and soon enough he was hugging me back but the happy moment was short lived ...
