《17》 Sacrifice

Serene's POV:

Waking up in the arms of your mate has to be the most amazing thing to ever feel . After the marks and mating our bond has gotten even stronger , our scents have mixed up and now my parents are going to find out and I know my dad is going to be even more excited than my mother . Clay is still sleeping and he looks so much younger when his asleep and I couldn't help but run my hand down his face then I stopped when I look at my mark , it's now in a shape of a cresentmoon
"It's a beautiful mark isn't it"
I look up to see Clay already looking at his mark on me and he has that charming smile on his face .
"Yes indeed it is .... now not to break up this beautiful moment but I'm starving"
With that I give him my best puppy dog eyes, he kissed my head then we got dressed and decided to go home since the cabin had no food stocked and I wanted to bath.

Clayton dropped me of at home with a quick sweet kiss then left for his house . The first thing I did was bath and then looked for my mother because her pancakes was something I was craving for at the moment. Both my parents aren't home so I called them up but there was no answer so I called Aunt Marie
"Hey Aunt Mari , Have you seen my parents?"
"They should be at home dear , your dad was waiting for you so they couldn't have went anywhere "
"Okay thank you , I'll check again"
Just as I left my room to go look for them for a second time , I get a call from an unknown no.
"Hello... who is this?"
"Don't worry yourself with that sweet Serene all you need to know is that we have your parents and if you want to see them again then come to the old oil factory alone and be quick about it my boys are getting hungry "
Vampires , it had to be . That voice was filled with such hatred and it sent this awful feeling inside . Not wasting any time I rush over to the factory which is just outside of Hollowcreak . I make sure to close of my mind , especially to Clayton because if he finds out what I'm feeling right now he will come rushing to help.

It took only 20 minutes to reach the oil factory but before I could go in Lunala speaks to me
"You should let me out , those Vampires said nothing about what form we can go in "
I mull over it for a minute and even though it's risky it's also our best chance of getting in and helping my parents because I know those vamps are going to kill them whether I cooperate or not . It was only my second time transforming so the change was still as painfull as the first but I have to push through the pain in order to save my parents , in less than a minute my skin becomes fur and I now let Lunala have full control but I was still there  watching from within. We sniffed around and along with my parents scents there was at least four other scents , it smelled like a rotting corpse just death and destruction which almost had me recoiling from it but I had to press on so not wasting another minute we burst through the doors and attacked the first vamp that was holding a silver dagger to my Dad's throat, then we got to the second Vamp that was trying to get to my mother and we tore through him . We were about to attack the third when I felt something prick my side and only then did I notice him standing there , the one whose scent was the strongest .
"Now now , where do you think you're going . Did you honestly think we wouldn't come prepared"
He grinned an evil grin and when I looked upon his eyes all I saw was darkness and nothing more.
He must have injected us with wolfsbane because after a while we started to feel dizzy and finally we lost our balance . He stepped forward and injected us again and this seemed like an even bigger dose because now I was been forced to tranform into my human self. My parents tried to get to me but I knew they wouldn't be able to survive this fight so I mindlinked Dad
'Dad please take mum and run , they aren't going to kill me right now . They just need my blood and I can't let them hurt you because of me . I need you both to be safe I love you both so much . Please tell Clay that I will always be with him no matter what '
'No kiddo , we can't just leave you !I've always kept you safe and that's not stopping today'
'Just this one time dad , let me be the one to look out for you . Let me be the one to save you '
I lifted my head with the little strength that I had left and smiled at my parents and the last thing that I saw was my dad saying 'I Love You ' then grabbing my mum's hand and running . Before I was swept away into darkness the Vampire grabbed my chin and sneered into my face then looked straight into my eyes and said
"Our king is finally going to be resurrected "
