《13》 The Blood Moon

Serene's POV:

The blood moon was out and at it's highest point . Soon it was just my parents and clayton standing with me whilst everyone else stood a good distance away and the pups were taken inside because a newly turned wolf could become dangerous. I was on my knees crying because After the hug with Clayton I felt this fever break out and this wave of pain hit me. Clay was now kneeling in front of me
"Serene It's going to be okay . I'm right here and I'm going to see this through . It will be over soon alright"
I tried to smile but I felt it , the first bone crack and it was excruciating, like nothing I've ever felt before. One by one they all started cracking , my legs and hands . My back arched out and my rips was expanding , I felt every bone move , my skin was stretching and soon enough it was replaced  with fur . The pain had subsided and then I saw it, paws , big white fluffly paws . I had finally transformed into a wolf , lunala had finally been freed.
*Growl*
"Hey hunny , are you okayy?"
That's Dad's voice but wait why is Lunala growling at him . I try to reach her but she's shutting me out , I turn to face my dad but I can't see anything in fact I can't  hear or smell or feel anything either . She's taken full control now...

"Mum , Dad , Clayton . Can you guys hear me , helllllo"
It was like my dream , I was stuck in the dark all alone but this time I had someone, someone whose always been here for me .
"Lunala , can you hear me ? Please you've got to give me some control  . I know you've been locked away for a long long time but I'm with you now okayy . If you don't let me out then we might hurt somone . Lunala please are you there "
I looked around again and finally saw a light, not wasting anymore time I run towards it and instantly I was flooded with light . The forest was around me now and there sitting right in front of me was lunala , I rushed over to her and wrapped my arms around her
"I'm so glad you heard me and  I'm so happy that you finally get to be free"
'Come serene , let's get back to them . They are worried '

Opening my eyes I see my parents and Clayton with a worried look on their faces . My growling stopped and soon enough everyone looked relieved
"You gave us quite the scare there kiddo.  Are you okayy now ?"
I tried to reply with a yes but a bark came out instead , I was still in my wolf form . How was I supposed to communicate now . I looked at dad and tried my best confused wolf face but dad just looked at me with an even more confusing face .
'You okay love , that's a really adorable face you got there'
Wait that's clayton , how was he in my mind . I turn towards him and he just has this mischievous smile. I tilt my head to the side and he just laughs then steps towards me
"It's called mindlinking.  We're mates so I can instantly read your thoughts . You got to clear your head then concentrate on a specific energy source that links you to me or your parents then you can freely talk to any one of us"
I processed what he was saying then concentrated as hard as I could. At first it made my head pain then it was a buzzing sound but eventually I heard the voices so I looked through them individually , First was Dad
'Dad I did it , look I'm actually a wolf now'
'Yes kiddo you did. I'm so proud of you'
I gave dad a wolfy grin then turned towards mum , she bent down and I licked her face
'My baby girl , you look simply amazing'
I barked happily then I finally turned towards Clay
'So what do you think ?'
'You truly are beautiful. Do you want to go for a run , I'll come with you if you like'
I mindlinked lunala to ask her and she was more than excited especially because she gets to run next to Stormshadow. After Clay turns into his beautiful black wolf , we both run into the forest that was just behind the pack house.

Running in the forest in wolf form was one of my favorites feelings , to feel that wind hit my face and to really smell and see the forest with such heightened senses , it was truly amazing and I just couldn't get enough . I look over at clay and he looked so care free and it just made my heart flutter , clay looks over with yet another mischievous wolfy smile and I knew he was up to something. 
'How about a race love , winner gets to ask the loser for anything '
'Alright , let's go but be prepared to lose '
And of we went , I was so wrong in thinking I could beat him . He moved so fast I could barely keep up and ultimately I lost .
'You cheated'
'And how exactly did I cheat?'
'You didn't tell me how fast you were and you knew you was going to win '
'You're such a sore loser , now come on we have to head back'
As much as I wanted to stay back and just enjoy it for a minute longer, I was starting to feel tired which Dad said was normal because it was my first tranformation. We got back to find everyone sitting at a huge table eating but it seems my parents wanted to wait for me. I just realised two other things , one was that I was extremely hungry and the second was that I didn't know how to turn back.
'Hey lunala, how do I turn back and is it going to be painful'
'Not to worry , it won't hurt as much as before.  Now try to imagine yourself before we changed and push towards reeling me back in , can you do that?'
'I'll try . Thank you'
So I did try , I imagined my hands with fingers , my legs and feet with toes . My nose , mouth and hair and finally my chest and torso . I felt the pain where my body shrunk and rearranged itself. Once I was done , mum wrapped a blanklet around but along with her everyone was staring at me , even Clay
"What's wrong Clay?"
"Your hair , It's white and your eyes they have become red "
Clay then took out his phone and turned the camera to face me and true to his words , my hair was white almost like snow and my eyes was a blood red.
"Dad is this bad ?"
"No kiddo ,it's amazing. You truly carry the blood of our ancestral wolf"
Before Dad got into more detail , my mother got us all to the table to eat but before sitting down clayton held my arm and whispered in my ear
"Remember you owe me for my win . I'll be collecting first thing tomorrow"
A blush crept up on me and I found myself smiling at a very smug looking Clayton.
