Taehyung's POV

" Hey Kenny!!! Long time no see," Jaylee said to a guy who looks older by a year. He was slim and tan with dark black hair. He wore glasses but he wore it like a professional.

" J-Jaylee. Is that really you?!" He seemed happy and his lips curved into a smile.

" Of course it's me."

" Y-you look g-great. You changed a lot." He seemed nervous as well, but not in a bad way.

" You know that favor you owe me," she smiled.

" Y-yeah." He left with a head bow and went into the kitchen. Jaylee wrapped her arm around me and laid her head on my shoulder. This feels nice. No what am I thinking? Wait but...

Don't think about her.

" You don't know how happy I am right now that I'm on a date with you," Jaylee said.

" D-date?" Kenny stood there frozen with a box of fries in his hands. He looked down on his feet and slowly walked toward us. " Here you go."

" Thank you Kenny! You're the best."

" No problem," he turned his back on us to help serve other customers. Why did he look upset?

" So how long did you know Kenny?" I asked out of curiosity.

" I knew him since middle school. We were neighbors at first but we really didn't talk. He's a nice guy," she ate a fry. " Let's stop talking about Kenny and start this date."

I laughed nervously. I took a napkin and placed a couple fries on it and started to eat.

" So you don't want to talk?"

" What? No. I would love to talk but I just don't know what to ask or say?"

" You can ask me about my favorite color or band or food. I mean I also want to know more about you." Jaylee is very persistent. How come I never noticed how not annoying she is. She really is different when it comes to not working.

" Ok. So why do you want to be an idol?"

" Well I promised this friend that I was very close to. She was very kind and sweet. She was the most adventurous person in my friend group, but she had a major sickness. When she heard me sing, she told me she felt like my voice was the only thing she held onto despite her family being worried about her all the time. On her last day, she told me to become the best idol there has ever been. Her last breath... I- I..." she was close to cry out, but I immediately hugged her. I called this girl annoying, but knowing her past a bit made me regret. She hugged me tighter and kissed my cheek.

" You know you're so cute right?" She hiccupped and wiped her tears. " I never really told anyone this from outside my family circle, but I'm glad you're the first one I told."

" Jaylee are you okay? Why are you crying? What the hell did you do?!" Kenny was about to push me off but Jaylee grabbed his arm before he could touch him.

" He didn't do anything to me. I just talked about a very personal subject." Jaylee sounded so formal around him. I can tell he really cares about her. Does he like her?

Nah I don't think so. Keep the date going.

No. I want to know.

Fine go ahead.

" Jaylee I'll be right back. I'm going to the restroom." I felt Kenny's glare on me as I left. Also why do I feel like I'm being followed? I went into the restroom and washed my face. As I splashed my face with water I look up to see Kenny behind me.
