Huh?

Gulf suddenly stiffened all over. He thought he was about to be thrown into the sea. He thought he'd been talking to the man who was about to take his life. Was all that just a dream?

No, that wasn't a dream...I definitely said something.

"I love him so much..."

He remembered saying that. He stared blankly into Mew's eyes. He was on Mew's back, feeling a soft cashmere coat against his cheek. Under the coat, he felt Mew's strong, rippling muscles. He must have been so comfortable on Mew's broad back that he had fallen fast asleep.

But Gulf had already broken up with Mew, vowing never to see him again. Why was Mew carrying him now? And where the hell was he?

"AH." he suddenly cried out. His head was about to hit a doorframe, but he ducked away in the nick of time.

"Oops...sorry. Are you okay?" Mew gasped.

Gulf saw a metal door lying on the floor. This seemed like the Seishoukai's Shinjuku office, but why was it such a mess? Looked like a car had crashed right into it.

"This is...Seishoukai...," he said. "Why are you...why are you here?"

"Why?" Mew echoed. "To get you, of course. I spoke to AA, Gulf. Now I know why you tried to leave me"

"Where is he?" Gulf growled.

"First's getting the money from him." Mew answered. "Turns out the two of them were childhood friends. In fact, I think AA may actually have a thing for First. He was pretty jealous when First came to live with you. I know everything now."

Gulf's eyes widened in astonishment.

Everything..everything..everything.

Yes, Mew seemed to know everything that had happened since Gulf had left his apartment. His first reaction was surprise, but that quickly gave way to happiness. Now Gulf owed the Seishoukai absolutely nothing. He could be with Mew again.

"You shouldn't...get in over your head..." he warned, but he was also filled with a strange feeling he didn't quite understand. It was slowly taking him over, like a strong force from inside. He was happy. He never thought being with Mew would make him so happy. He buried his face into Mew's back, trying to hide from these new feelings.

Oh...mmm...

It had the opposite effect. Feeling Mew's warmth and heart beat made Gulf's feelings even more intense. His heart rate sped up as he inhaled deeply, enjoying Mew's rich smell. It felt so good to be wrapped around him. There was nothing he could do now. For maybe the first time in his life, Gulf felt totally satisfied.

I'm like a little girl.

He felt awkward yet fulfilled, and nuzzled his face against Mew's back. Why had Mew come to Seishoukai to save him? Such a stupid thing to do, but he wanted to believe it was because Mew loved him that much.

Mew has always been an idiot.

Then again, that's what he liked about him. Mew made Gulf felt loved. Right now, Gulf was the happiest man in the world.

Mew exited the building and headed for his nearby car. Opening the passenger door, he carefully lowered Gulf off his back.

"I'm taking you to the hospital," he declared. "Are you hurt anywhere? How do you feel?"

"I don't need the hospital," Gulf replied. "I only lost consciousness from lack of sleep. Some guy was torturing me all night."

"I'm sorry," Mew said.

Gulf lifted his eyes and looked at Mew. Mew's face, as usual, was filled with arrogance and confidence. Gulf wondered why he wad looking like that now, then suddenly remembered.

Did I just tell him I love him?

He had a vague memory of saying something like that. As Mew's eyes burned into him, Gulf turned a bright red color. Even his ears felt hot. But why did he feel so uncomfortable?

"Wha...what are you looking at?" he muttered.

"At least one good thing came out of all this," Mew said.

"Which was?" Gulf prompted.

"I finally discovered how you really feel," Mew whispered.

As Mew's beautiful voice filled every part of him, Gulf tried to shake off the numbness he felt.

Should I deny it?

He could tell Mew he didn't mean it. That's what old Gulf would have done.

But...

Mew had come to his rescue, so just for today, Gulf would be nice to him. Actually, he wanted to be intimate with Mew more than anything. He wanted to feel Mew's warmth again.

"Come closer," Gulf said softly.

He wrapped his arms around Mew's shoulders, pulling him close. Mew tightly hugged him back.

"You can hear it again," Gulf whispered, "I love you..."
