Bonnie wasn't entirely sure what she expected to wake up to. Yet she knew the inside of the Mikaelsons mansion, more specifically Klaus's room, was not it. Groaning she turned in the bed, bringing the blanket up to her chin, not ready to face whatever this day brought.

"Oh no you don't" Klaus called out, his face appearing in her vision. Immediately, Bonnie closed her eyes, trying to shut him out.

"Leave me alone" Bonnie groaned out irritably. Klaus looked at the witch in his bed, amusement dancing inside him, making his eyes soften as he looked at her.

"I am entirely too tempted to crawl into bed with you" he said, his voice playful as he spoke to her. Opening her eyes the small witch glared at him lightly. He was happy to note there was no real malice in her gaze.

"I hate you" she muttered, making the hybrid chuckle softly. Nodding he stood and held out a hand for her.

"Yes I know, you hate me, I'm the devil incarnate will you ever warm up to me?" He asked making the small witch roll her eyes at him. He found more affection in the action now.

"Well I don't think you're the devil incarnate" Bonnie said taking his hand. Klaus made a face of surprise as he looked at the small witch.

"Well, that is progress" he said making her shrug. Bonnie frowned as she looked at him, so many thoughts running through her head, nearly splitting it open.

"I hate that I don't hate you anymore" Bonnie admitted, her voice soft as she looked down, pressing her lips together. "And I really hate that I think it's because of that night" she said, making the hybrid nod. Letting out a soft sigh he shrugged.

"We connected in more ways than 1 that night Bonnie, there's no reason to feel shame" he told her softly. His voice was gentle, Bonnie noticed, like velvet. Breathing out, the small witch shrugged.

"Yea maybe" Bonnie said with a small shrug. "But I think that's the problem, why the hell do I keep opening up to you?" She asked the hybrid incredulously. Klaus gave the witch a small smile as he looked at her.

"I'm a people person" he told the tiny witch with a smirk. Rolling her eyes, Bonnie pushed the man away lightly, her eyes lit with mischief. Klaus smiled at her softly, his blood red lips parted to show teeth, in the most delightful smile she'd ever seen from him. It left her sad when the smile was wiped from his face a moment later.

"You scared me little witch" he muttered softly, bringing a hand up to push her hair from her face. While she knew her immediate reaction should have been to pull away, she didn't, she felt too comfortable.

"I scared you?" She asked incredulously, though it came out lower than she expected. The hybrid watched as Bonnie lowered her head slightly.

"It's been a long time since I've been scared for someone beyond my kin" he murmured softly, bringing a hand under her chin, and lifting her head. "Never let it happen again, I make no promises I would not burn this town to the ground, in my pursuit to rescue you" he said.

His voice was low as he spoke. Almost gentle. Yet Bonnie knew that he was being completely serious. She wasn't sure when that happened. When he actually became worried for her safety, but she found, she wasn't repulsed by it. If anything, she felt safe, safer than she had in a while. Realizing this she blushed, and ducked her head once more, not wanting him to see his affect on her.

Klaus smiled softly when he saw the bashful look on her face. A blush was coloring her cheeks, barely visible, but he saw it anyway. He attempted to squash down the feeling of pride shining in his chest. Now wasn't the time. Now she needed to get dressed. They would have guests soon enough. He'd been lucky to keep them away for so long.
