When Bonnie woke up again it was the middle of the night. At least it felt that way. Yawning slightly the small witch turned her head the face out the window and searched for her phone with her hand.
"It's 7:30" Dean muttered softly, making the small witch look up at him. Her eyes widened as she realized he was already looking down at her. A gentle look on his face.
"You're awake?" She asked, her voice slightly hoarse from sleeping. Dean smiled as he nodded at her. His green eyes bright as he looked at the small witch. Bonnie couldn't remember the last time she'd seen eyes like his.
"Yea, never fell asleep, Caroline dropped off some food by the way" he said, gesturing to the back of the car. Bonnie sat up fully at that, feeling her stomach grumble slightly, she gave the man a sheepish smile.
"You asked her to?" She asked softly, making him shrug at her. Bonnie tilted her head as he shifted in his seat slightly. After so long in one spot his ass fell asleep but he didn't want to wake her just because he got uncomfortable. Not to mention, she looked so relaxed in his arms, he wasn't going to ruin that.
"Uh- yea, I figured you'd probably be hungry after sleeping for 4 hours, Caroline said you didn't eat anything this morning except for 1 waffle" he said softly, raising an eyebrow at her. Bonnie just shrugged at that, shaking her head, causing her curls to move around her shoulders.
Dean stopped for a moment to simply look at her. His eyes taking the small witch in. Bonnie's green eyes were still sleepy but, as usual, her smile stayed bright. She always has such a bright smile. He loved that about her from the moment they met. When he saw her dancing happily in that bar.
Yet what caught his attention the most was her hair. Her curls were wild around her head, they looked soft to the touch, making him reach out for a moment before he stopped himself. Raising an eyebrow the small witch turned slightly smirking at him.
"You can touch it" she said before her eyes widened slightly. "And by it I mean my hair- you can touch my hair" she reiterated, feeling her cheeks heat up. Dean chuckled as he watched her backtrack, seeing where her mind went, before he pulled her into his arms.
Bonnie closed her eyes as she leaned into his chest. The hunters arms wrapped around her, one hand on her waist, while the other lightly scraped at her scalp. Dean smiled as he continued to gently massage her head.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Dean asked, causing Bonnie to shake her head, burrowing her face into his chest. "Wanna go home?" He asked softly. Sighing she looked up at him, giving him a small nod.
"Yea, besides, we should probably talk" she told him lowly, sitting back as his face changed slightly. Dean took a breath as he grabbed one of her hands.
"Look there's a lot going on right now, and it seems like you're right in the middle of it, so if you don't want to talk right now I get it, we can just go grab a drink and eat" he reassured the small witch. His eyes taking her in. Watching as she gave him a small smile.
"I'm okay, I promise, we'll just take it slow today" Bonnie reassured him. Her eyes searching his face. Wondering if he was just putting up a front. The witch was happy to see that he was being genuine. Simply worried for her.
"Alright, we'll take it slow" he said softly, turning on the Impala. Bonnie smiled when she felt him take her hand as they drove off.
