"Happy birthday!" Rebekah yelled as she jumped onto Bonnie's bed. Surprised when she landed on, not one, but two bodies.
"Ow" Bonnie grunted, a frown on her face as she peeked from under the blanket. Glaring at the vampire above her.
After their heart to heart, Klaus stayed beside Bonnie, talking to her. Telling her about different time periods and people. How much things have changed and how much they haven't. Bonnie fell asleep to the sound of his voice. For the first time in a while she didn't have a nightmare.
"Again?!" Rebekah exclaimed, looking from the small witch to her brother. Bonnie laughed as she shoved the blonde off of her, while Klaus rolled his eyes, and turned on his side.
"No, not again" Bonnie said sitting up. The vampires narrowed her eyes at the pair as she stood. "We just talked" The witch told her. Rebekah shrugged as she stood up.
"Mhmmm" she hummed, unsure if she believes the two. "Regardless there is a birthday breakfast downstairs for you love then it's back to the hellhole we call home" Rebekah said with a roll of her eyes, walking out of the room, before looking back for a moment. "Happy birthday Bonnie" she said with a smile.
Bonnie smiled as she watched the blonde leave, shaking her head, amusement flowing through her. When Bonnie turned to Klaus, he was already looking at her, a soft smile on his face.
"What?" She asked making him smile.
"I have a present for you" Klaus told her, almost conspiratorially, making the witch frown. Bonnie raised her eyebrows as she looked at his smirking face.
"A what?" She asked in surprise. The hybrid smiled as he looked down at the small witch. Her green eyes seemed especially bright today. Her hair, though unkempt, was as beautiful and wild as ever.
"A present, as is tradition on the day of ones birth" Klaus said sarcastically. Bonnie chuckled as she leaned back on the bed.
"Why the hell would you get me a present, actually wait- when did you have time to get me a present" she asked him. The hybrid chuckled as he looked at her, his blue eyes dancing with mischief. The brunette rolled her eyes as she looked at him, knowing that look in his eyes, knowing it very well.
"All will be revealed in due time love" Klaus said as he stood, smiling down at the small witch. "For now, enjoy your birthday" he said. Bonnie was taken completely by surprise when the hybrid laid a soft kiss on her forehead. In the blink of an eye he was gone.
Looking around the room she sighed. The night before had already been surreal. Seeing a side of Klaus that she hadn't before. Crying for him. Having his arms around her most of the night. Saying she believed in him. None of it made sense. Neither did his little comments this morning.
"Fucking hybrids" she muttered, throwing the blanket over her head.

Caroline looked around the area of the woods where all parties were held. Luckily the Lockwood family owned this part of it and Tyler loved Bonnie like a sister. He was more than happy to let them have the party in his usual party area. After the one that Bonnie's dad was throwing at the Grille that is.Caroline watched as people set up around her, a check list in her hand, as she checked off all the things that were done. Balloons and streamers everywhere. Check. Strobe lights. Check. The blonde was so caught up in her list that she couldn't help but jump when a keg dropped in front of her.
Sam chuckled as he looked up at the blonde. She'd been so focused on Bonnie's party. She had also been adamant that it had nothing to do with the blonde that Bonnie had gone on a trip with. A bit too adamant.
