After downing half the bottle of Vodka, Caroline stared at Bonnie, nodding her head as she wiped the excess vodka dripping down her chin. Bonnie could only frown as she watched Caroline stand and pace back and forth.
"You...and Klaus?" Caroline said, confusion coating every word. She seemed baffled by the very prospect of it. "I just- I can't see it" she muttered making Bonnie's eyebrows raise.
"Why cause people can only be interested in you and Elena?" Bonnie asked, her defenses rising. Caroline looked at the witch wide eyed, her shoulders slumped, wondering if Bonnie thought that's how people viewed her.
"What? Oh God- Bonnie no! That's not what I meant, obviously he has a thing for you, he'd be crazy not to, you're hot! It's just- Bonnie you hated him more than anyone" Caroline said softly, watching Bonnie's face. The small witch leaned back, knowing she was right, she did hate him more than any of them.
"I just gotta know one thing" Caroline said softly, her voice gentle as she looked at the small witch. At Bonnie's nod she continued. "Why? Why Klaus? Why did you rush to do it at all?" She asked the small witch.
At the question Bonnie pressed her lips together. She didn't want to answer. She knew that if she did she would only worry the blonde. Yet if she didn't, Caroline would keep pestering her, she simply didn't want to admit it out loud. Not to Caroline, not to anyone, she barely liked to think about it herself. It was too depressing.
"Because I'm going to die Caroline" Bonnie said. The matter of fact way that she said it startled the vampire. Her eyes wide as she looked at her best friend. "I've narrowly avoided real death so many times, I won't get any more free passes, and the spirits aren't exactly backing me up anymore" Bonnie told her friend.
"Bonnie.." Caroline whispered her name, desperately trying to think of something to say, but the words failed her.
"Emily was burned, my Grams overdid it when she used magic and died, my mom is a vampire, it doesn't end well for people like me, not in my family" Bonnie muttered looking down at her hands, stopping herself from wringing them together.
"When Jeremy died I felt it even more, and I decided that I would do 1 thing for myself, to get away from all the crazy for one night and lose my virginity" Bonnie admitted, thinking of the night she spent at the bar. She'd danced, she flirted, she made out with a girl, and if she hadn't been so crushingly sad she would have said it was one of the best nights of her life.
"Then Klaus walked in, and I though that was it, my night of fun was going to turn into the stuff of nightmares, but it didn't" she told Caroline softly. The blonde listened intently as she watched Bonnie tell her story. Watched as Bonnie's face softened when she mentioned the hybrid. She knew that look. Even if Bonnie didn't she did. Bonnie Bennett felt something for Klaus Mikaelson.
"He promised me a night I would never forget and, you know what, he delivered" Bonnie said with a soft chuckle. "One minute we were drunk and laughing, and the next, we were in his room and he was taking my virginity" The small witch whispered. Caroline looked at Bonnie in wonder. She wanted more details, but she seemed so lost in the memories, Caroline let her continue uninterrupted.
"He was so gentle, in a way I would have never expected, and he reassured me that everything was okay until I completely lost myself in him" Bonnie said softly, remembering that night. Remembering how he touched her. She could still feel him now. His fingers caressing her skin. The way he pulled her in and made her fall apart.
Looking up, Bonnie realized Caroline was staring at her, an unreadable expression on her face. The witch frowned softly as she brought her knees up and under her chin. Nervous at what the blonde would say next. She almost wished Rebekah was there to give her support.
