Evelyn's POV

For once in all of my existance, I was at peace. I was even tempted to admit that I kinda wished that I was human, so that I can die...die in peace. Right now, everything was right. There was no crazy vampire coven chasing me, at least...not visibly but most importantly, I had Jonathan and Aaron.

"Hello? Hello? Earth to Lyn?" a musical voice chimmed, breaking my line of thought.

I blinked twice before looking at Aaron. "Yeah? What do you want, Ron?" I asked teasingly.

He scrunched up his flawless face and replied, "I hate that name. Ron...what kind of a name is it?"

I laughed a bit and then answered, "well whatever it is, it's what I call you."

"Whatever, and Lyn?"

"Yes?" I smiled.

Aaron casted his blood red eyes to the ground, looked back into my violety one and said, "I thought maybe we could...talk now. You know, just us Ambrosios. Like we did in Forks."

I raised an eyebrow at him but said in a gentle voice, "yes, of course we can."

He scooted a little closer to me but I just couldn't help myself as I picked him up, and placed him onto my lap. "Hey!" he half complained.

I rolled my eyes at him and pinched his cheeks. "Shh, you know you love it, kiddo."

He giggled as he replied a little breathlessly, "that I do."

I grinned at him before asking seriously, "now, qué es lo que te quería preguntar?" (what is it that you wanted to ask?)

"Bueno, me preguntaba si usted me dijera más sobre su pasado. Pero está bien si te digo que no." (Well, I was wondering if you would tell me more about your past. But it's alright if you say no)

I sighed and inhaled deeply. "Supongo que es la hora del cuento," (Supongo que es la hora del cuento) I concluded.

Aaron flashed a brilliant smile at me before he began to look at me intentively. "Quiero saber más sobre el reino," (Tell me more about the kingdom) he demanded softly.

I nodded, feeling a sense of history rushing through my veins. "Well..." I began.

Flashback: "Princesa, perdona que te moleste," (Princess, sorry to disturb you) one of the maids said, once I allowed her to come into my chambers. I sent her a shy smile before replying, "no, no está bien. En qué puedo ayudarle?" (no, no that is fine. How may I help you?). She bowed her head once before answering, "que se necesitan en la sala del tribunal, Señorita" (you are needed at the courtroom, Miss). I nodded and sighed, "muy bien, estaré allí en breve. Puedo preguntar por qué me necesitan allí?" (very well, I will be there shortly. May I ask why I am needed there?) The maid looked at me apologetically and said, "no sé, lo siento. Sin embargo, yo no creo que sea nada malo," (I do not know, sorry. However, I do not think it is anything bad). I smiled again before saying, "te importaría ayudarme en mi vestido de noche?" (do you mind helping me into my evening gown?) The ageing maid shook her head, bowed swiftly and said, "sería un placer para mí dirigirme a una dama joven y bella," (it would be my pleasure to address to a beautiful young lady). I had to blush at that compliment.

Gizelette, who was the maid, helped me get into a soft silk gown that was dark blue in colour. The gown was marvellous, it had pearls and diamonds embedded into the fabric...it looked amazing when it caught and reflected light. "Gracias," I said sincerely after I was dressed. "Mi placer, Princesa" (my pleasure, Princess) she replied as she sent me a cute smile.
