Jonathan’s POV

I sighed as I cut of the engine. I tried to dismiss the urge to look at the beauty sitting next to me, but it proved too difficult. I turned my face to Evelyn’s and said, “Well, that was nice. We should defiantly do it again”. As I was saying this, my insides erupted into flames but on the outside...hopefully my features were composed.

I mirrored a smile that I had received from Evelyn and she said, “sure”.

I got out of my car, as did my Evelyn. My Evelyn...I like the sound of that, a lot. I stretched my arms, flexing my biceps unconsciously. I smirked when I saw her approve with her magnificent eyes. “Like what you see, Princesa?” I said in a husky tone.

She laughed and punched my shoulder lightly. Then she stood on her tip-toes and said, “I’ve seen better”, into my ear.

I rolled my eyes at her and resorted, “yeah right”. She wouldn’t have...right?

Evelyn shook her head at me and started to walk back into the main building. I caught up with her instantly. However, something seemed wrong... I don’t know what it was, but I could sense it. I scanned my surroundings but found nothing...weird. That’s when I heard all the cheering, jeering and curses erupting from the lunch hall. Oh, not again.

“What’s going on?” Evelyn asked puzzled.

I groaned and replied, “a fight or something. Come on, let’s go”.

She nodded and grabbed my hand, pulling me along with her. I felt my lips twitch at the gesture. As soon as we were only mere meters away from the lunch hall, I smelt blood...werewolf blood. I growled quietly when I saw the scene. It was Justin, the Beta’s boy and Aaron. No way.

I looked back at Evelyn who was all tense, her eyes were murderous, and her lips were pulled back into a snarl. I squeezed her hand slightly, to warn her about the humans that were present. But that didn’t work; her eyes were still glued to Justin.

“Come on, is that the best you can do?” I heard Justin hiss at Aaron.

Aaron responded by growling, “nope, but I don’t want to make a mess for the cleaners”. That did it. Justin launched himself forward, kicking Aaron in the stomach with his full werewolf strength. Aaron recovered fast and landed a blow on the wolf’s jaw. I’m not sure why I couldn’t move, I was paralyzed. This was nature, I guess. Werewolves vs. Vampires. I only hoped that such conflict never existed before my eyes. In the next millisecond, I felt Evelyn’s hand rip out of mine. Justin was about to strike at Aaron again when his hand was blocked by a more feminine one. Evelyn’s.

“You have 3 seconds before I crush your hand to smithereens, boy”, her voice was dangerously low and sexy. Not the time, I scowled at myself.

“Who are you?” Justin stupidly yelled angrily.

Evelyn grinned showing all of her teeth but it was forced...she was trying to show him her fangs. “You worse nightmare, mutt”, she smirked. Then, she shoved him away from her frame causing him to fall to the ground in surprise.

“Ow”.

“You’re gonna be in a lot more pain than that, child. Now, tell me, what the hell you were doing to my brother?” she shouted.

Aaron looked relieved and crossed his arms over his chest. Oh no, you’re not getting out of it that easily Aaron. I stepped forward and clicked my fingers together. “You and you. My office...now” I said to Justin and Aaron.

Justin groaned and shot me an annoyed look while Aaron simply glared at me. No one moved. That’s when I shouted out, “why are you still standing here?”
