Aaron's POV

I blinked once and leaned away from Lyn, shock clearly written on my face. "Antonio...was a player?" I wondered.

Lyn clicked her tongue and sighed, "well, he was a good looking man. What else would you expect? Besides, at that time...almost all men slept around."

I wrinkled up my nose and muttered, "sluts."

Evelyn laughed freely and replied, "the word's 'man-whore', oh little one."

I blew a raspberry at her and sighed. That's when I had realised something, I needed to go hunting, fast. I could only handle bloodbags for so long, I needed it fresh from the veins. With that in mind, I got up from Evelyn's comfy lap. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow. Man, I swear she acts more like my mother everyday. "I'm going hunting, want to come?" I said, answering her questioning look.

"Oh umm. I'm not that bad but I can come with you if you want." Then she stood up as well.

We both turned our heads to the door, and it opened revealing Jonathan. Almost immediately both of them went all gooey eyed and mushy. I rolled my eyes at that. I cleared my throat and said, "well, I need to hunt. I'll catch you lovebirds later."

Lyn broke her heated gaze with Jonathan and asked, "are you sure. I mean, I will come if you want me too."

I smiled showing off my dimples and shook my head dismissively. "Nah, that's alright. I know you're  dying to spend time with your mate. Oops, pun intended," I smirked with a wink.

Jonathan cracked a smile whilst Lyn chuckled. "You know me well, Aaron," she stated.

"That I do." And with that, I walked out of the house.

I knew exactly where to go for hunting but I was already nervous. Why? Well, it all started after my first human kill. Every time I go hunting now, I just keep remembering the horrid sin that I had commited. But that's not that worst part, there's a rapidly evolving part of me that's so cold and dark...it's convincing me to do it again.

I'm so scared. I try to avoid going out to hunt but bloodbags are getting harder to consume. Every fibre in my body is acheing to feel that exhilerating rush that I had felt when I bite human flesh. I don't know how long I can hold on for, it's getting harder than ever. I can't tell Evelyn as well, I just can't. She's going to be so disappointed, even if she hides it I know she'll feel it.

I shook my head to clear my thoughts once I was surronded by trees. Animals, animals, look for some animals. I closed my eyes and relaxed my posture, breathe in and out...in and out. Evelyn told me that I can take blood from willing humans but I don't want to risk losing myself, ever.

It only took a moment before my whole body began to vibrate with anticipation. It was almost like a drug, it felt so good. Without furthur delay, I shot like a bullet through the vegetation, following a trail made by a mountain lion. Yum.

The chase was too easy, I liked a challenge. Wow I sound like Evelyn. Anyway, I bit into the over-sized killed and almost moaned at the taste of its blood. It was good...

'But not amazing,' that dark part of my hushed.

Ignore it, ignore it, I chanted. Then something happened, my mind drifted back to the moment when I had killed that human couple. My fangs began to itch to feel that sensation. I growled at nothing in particular and kicked a rock. I brought my hands onto my head and tugged on my hair. What was happening to me? Blood lust? No...this was definately something stronger.

'Blood from the vein, you need blood from the vien. Warm, rich, delicious blood from a warm blooded human.'

I hissed at that dark voice again and groaned, "shut up, shut up." I was actually beginning to lose it now. I don't kow when I'll snap, that's the scariest part of all. I'm just dreading to see the look of utter disappointment on John's and Lyn's face.
