AN- absolutely no hate to cho, that's who he was dating in the movie, so that's who i'm choosing to use :)

you had been dating cedric diggory- amazing golden boy of your year, that is until something happened. you were utterly and completely heartbroken. at the time you thought there was no pain worse than that one.

but you were wrong. so so wrong.

you were walking in the courtyard, making your way to the black lake as one of cedric's friends had passed you a note and told you to be there right after class. he smiled sympathetically at you as you walked away from him.

you felt his eyes on you as you walked, but walked faster as you heard sort of hushed voices, making sure to keep quiet. you walked to the dock and were about to run into ced's arms but stopped suddenly in your tracks.

there you saw him, with her. your very own boyfriend, kissing a girl with everything he desired. not in a sweet way, not in a way he'd ever kissed you. but in a hungry, animalistic, sloppy kiss..like he needed it.

your heart stopped beating for a few seconds, and you just watched them. you felt everything around you move but you felt like you were stuck in place, you couldn't move. you didn't know what to do so you cleared your throat loud enough for them to hear.

the boy looked over and pulled away suddenly, and you could see her smile as she looked at him, but it dropped when she looked at you. he whole face had shifted to a very sad expression. "y/n i" cedric sighed as he saw you start to move away from him.

he walked towards you slowly, trying not to scare you off. "y/n, can we talk about this? i'm- i-i'm sorry, you know i love you" he finished and you shivered at his words, feeling more and more heartbroken and repulsed by the second.

"i don't want to talk, cedric. this is it for me. this is talking. you know why? because your actions say more than your words ever will." you mumbled as he was now close enough to hear it.

you turned on your heel and walked quickly back to your dorm, feeling everyone's eyes on you as you did so. you slammed the door and looked over at your roommate, suddenly glad you didn't share a room with cho chang, a housemate of your own.

you laid down, face down in your bed, and cried. you cried all day long, tissues surrounding your bed before the night was over.

it took about a week for you to be able to come out of your room, to go to class, to eat. you watched as he moped around, keeping his head down in classes, his eyes looked heavy and dark all the time. he looked skinny also.

you wanted to help him but you couldn't bring yourself to talk to him. his friend smiled at you, brighter each day. that day you walked past him with a bright smile but tears brimmed in your eyes as you thanked him, it was more of an inside joke now.

it was time for the hogwarts champion to be chosen as you snapped out of your thoughts. you stared at the goblet of fire, waiting for the triwizard champions to be chosen. you and cedric were the first ones to put your name in the goblet of fire, rushing and watching each other do so. you and cedric hadn't made up, but you were doing slightly better with each other.
