I hope I don't see Jaxson the rest of the night and I have parted from everyone I seemed to know. Seeing how this place was full of people I doubt I will run into him again. I grab my phone from my bag to see I have a message from my mother who I miss terribly. I reply with a simple messaging hoping she doesn't call me. Not only that, but I don't want to explain that I am at a party. She will lose her shit if I'm here and not studying.
"Hey Lillian, this party is so freaking awesome!" she tries and shouts, but it sounds more of a slur. She laches her arm around mine and lays her head on my shoulder slowing closing her eyes. I just stare at her and wonder what have I done. I should have just stayed home, I could have been in my cosy pyjamas in my warm cosy bed just relaxing, but I'm here instead.
"Need a hand with her?" I hear from a few feet away from me.
"Yes please if you can" I desperately ask. I must sound pathetic, but I don't care at this point I just want to go home. There is no way I'm staying the whole night.
"I'm Ethan by the way" he has a friendly smile. He looks like all the other boys in this room if I'm honest. He has a few tattoos, tall, dark, brown mopped hair with a few bits having over his forehead. Not only that, but he is cute. He looks like someone that I could trust.
He carries Jess to the next room and places her limp body across the couch. She stirs a little, but she falls back asleep pretty easy.
"Thank you for that. I'm Lilly nice to meet you." I grin back at him hoping he didn't think I was rude for not saying a word before." how do you know jess?" I ask.
"She's Tom's girlfriend and Tom is my friend. We are good friends. We all know each other from cheer and the football team." he must know Jaxson then.
"Can you help me find tom then?" he laughs. His arm reaches out and points over the corner of the room. I can feel the embarrassment rising on my face. I pinch the bridge of my nose. Great! Now he must think I'm weak and stupid. I run my hand through my blonde hair trying to think of something to say, but I'm lost for words and I just say "Oh."
" Don't worry Lilly I won't judge, I see drink gets to everyone differently" he jokes
"I...never mind but thank you". I start to walk towards Tom and his group of friends awkwardly.
"You won't do it!" I hear as I get closer to tom and the boys. I notice Jaxson is there. If I walk away now he will know I am avoiding him like the plage.
