Love or war?

Chapter Eight

Naomi and I walk into the house and go straight up the stairs to my room. As we sit down on the bed Naomi can't contain herself anymore.

"What the heck?!? I come over here to make sure my best friend is ok because it looks like things with her and her boyfriend aren't going well but when I show up she's out there making out with him?" She practically yells

I laugh at her craziness and start to tell her the story.

"So wait I still need to know one thing," Naomi says

"What?"

"Who kissed who?" Naomi smirks

My cheeks get really hot and I know as soon as I say it she's going to flip.

"He was so cute and saying such sweet thing and one thing led to another...."

"Oh my gosh my little Alani Pearl was the one who started the make out sesh!! No way! They grow up so fast" she wipes a fake tear from her eye as I laugh.

"You're ridiculous," I say in between laughs.

"This is huge news haz. You have a serious boyfriend now."

"We've been dating for a week!"

"You just made out on his car!"

"Whoa. No. I kissed him. Plain and simple we did not make out and not on his car that is nasty,"

"A little kiss is one thing but no you didn't stop,"

"It just felt so perfect," I start to day dream again about how wonderful it was. Our lips were moving in sync and I wasn't awkward. It all felt right and his little whisper after made it all feel exactly right.

"His little whisper?!?!? Whoa you guys went far,"

"Naomi Rose no. You stop right now."

"What did he whisper?"

"He simply said I love you in a cute voice you dirty minded animal"

"Awwwwww,"

I hear a knock on the door and I freeze. We've been loud so my mom probably overheard and now what she thinks I made out with a guy on his car and he whispered to me.

"Just a second. Naomi I am going to kill you," I say half shaking as I walk towards the door.

"Oops." She gives me a cheeky grin hoping everything will be ok once I open the door.

I grab the handle and open it to see my dad standing there. Oh no. I'm dead meat.

"Hey can I talk to you real quick he asks," motioning toward the stairs.

"Yeah sure," I say scared out of mind.

We get to the kitchen and he turns to me and looks serious and I'm scared because he probably has the worst idea in his head of something that didn't even happen.

"So you have a boyfriend now?"

"Oh yeah," oh no

"Well I'd like to meet him considering I am your father,"

My whole body feels so relieved as I answer.

"Oh yeah of course. I was thinking about inviting him to church tomorrow,"

"Sounds great,"

With that I run back up the stairs into my room, slam the door and fall into my bed.

"Naomi that was way too close and you have to promise to never do that again,"

"Sorry bro. I'm just glad he didn't think he heard something that wasn't true I was kind of over exaggerating a little,"

"A little?"

We hung out for the day and it was about 9:00 when she said she should probably get home.

I walked out with her and when she got by her car she said

"I know we're standing by my car but no making out I don't roll that way," with a smirk. I smacked her.

"You're so annoying sometimes I'll see you tomorrow," I say walking back towards my house as she just laughs at herself and drives away.
