Chapter Twenty

Ace being super hot is a good and bad thing. Obviously good because he's my boyfriend and he takes my breath away. Bad because every girl in the world flirts with him. Even when I'm standing right there! The worst was today.

Ace and I decided to go to the amusement park together. We rode every ride there and as we were going to get some food a heavy rock thing holding the napkins down so they wouldn't fly away rolled off the counter of the stand and landed on my foot.

"Ow!" I screeched out of major pain. That thing was super heavy.

"Oh my gosh Alani are you ok?" Ace asks leaning down taking the rock off my foot.

"Umm no actually that really hurt. Can we go get some ice or something?" I say tears gathering in my eyes.

"Of course," Ace says picking me up bride style and going to the nurse station place.

"Hey this rock thing fell on her foot and I was wondering if we could get some ice?" Ace says as we walk into the little building.

"Of course. Here you can set her on this table here and I'll go get some ice," the nurse said turning towards the direction the ice was in.

"Alright thank you." Ace replies setting me down gently on the table.

The lady came back with ice and I was just sitting there for a while with it. Then this girl who had been sitting in the waiting chairs since before we got here started to speak up.

"Umm excuse me sir?" She said trying to get Ace's attention.

"Oh , you're talking to me?" Ace asks and the girl nods.

"I think I have a fever do you mind checking?" She asks walking towards him.

"Oh umm I'm actually not a doctor or anything I'm just-"

"I know. The doctors are taking ages I was wondering if you could just check so I can get out of here," she batted her eyes. Ace is the sweetest guy and didn't know this girl was trying to take advantage of him.

"Uh sure I guess," he replies placing his hand on her forehead.

"Oh didn't you know you can't actually tell that way? You have to place your lips on the forehead to actually tell if there's a f-"

"Ace, can you ask for more ice please?" I had to say something so this girl would back off.

"Sure babe," he said turning to find the nurse. The girl glared at me.

"Thanks for ruining my chance," she rolls her eyes.

"Oh I'm sorry I stopped you from kissing my boyfriend. My bad. Hope you're fever gets better," I smile. She rolls her eyes and storms out the door. Then Ace walks back into the room.

"Ace you have to stop being so nice," I look up at him taking the ice out of his hands and placing it beside me.

"I'm sorry I was just trying to help," he frowns

"She didn't want your help she wanted to kiss you,"

"Kiss me? She wanted me to kiss her forehead,"

"So she could make a move and kiss your lips,"

"No way,"

"She told me while you were going to get ice,"

"Are you serious? Gosh I literally didn't even notice. I'm sorry I wow that's just-"

"It's ok," I giggled at his rambling. "I got your back bro," I tried to wink but I can't so I just awkwardly scrunched up my face and he laughed.
