When me and my brother broke the hug, people around us had started to stare, making Zach, my brother, scratched the back of his head.
"How about we go to my place?" Zach asked me and Drake. We nodded, not liking the attention from all the college students around us.

At Zach's place. His apartment was small and cozy, a mess in some places, but I could tell he was organized for the most part.
He led us to a small kitchen, we sat down on the barstools as he passed us some drinks.
Zach looked at me admiringly, like he just got a new puppy, "I can't believe your alive." He grinned again.
"Yeah, um.." I trailed off.
"Oh," he frowned, "right, our parents. They died, a few years ago." He turned away, his back facing us.
"What happened to them?" I asked slowly, not really sure if I wanted Zach to respond.
"They died in a plane," his back tensed. "There was a murderer on the plane. He took the lives of ten people, injured three. Two made it out of the hospital, the other is still paralyzed."
"I think that's enough," Drake spoke up. "Come on guys, you see each other for the first time in- oh I don't know, forever? And your making yourselves depressed."
"He's right," Zach croaked. "Let's do something fun. Who are you anyway? Her boyfriend?"
Drakes eyes widened, "no! I'm just.."
When Drake couldn't find a word, Zach frowned, "go on."
"Hey, guys, it doesn't really matter, Zach, he saved me. Please, can we just catch up on everything we've missed about each other?" My voice wobbled.
"Yeah, Okay," Zach said.

After a long day together, Zach decided he had to go back to his apartment to get some sleep, I wanted to stay with him and live with him but he said Drake had a much nicer place and I could go to school with him, and stay with his family, rather than be alone in his apartment all day.
We drove in silence all the way to his house, the door lamps had been turned on so we could get up the path without tripping, or knock something over. I held on to drakes arm going up the stairs, he seemed unfazed and wrapped his hand over mine.
We entered the dark house quietly going to the dinning room where two plates had been left out for them, no doubt by Shelby.
We finished eating and went upstairs, "goodnight Rain."
"Thank you for today," he smiled and pulled me into a warm hug.
"Anytime, Rain."
"Goodnight."
He smiled and closed his door, leaving me in mine. I sighed and laid on my bed, letting the sheets crinkle around me. I closed my eyes letting the darkness take me to a dream.
