The creature sat on the desert floor, staring at Arcee. She glared at it, and it just tilted its head at her.
"Are you mocking me?" Arcee asked, kneeling down and making optic contact with the creature.
"Arcee, are you alright?" Bulkhead asked, walking over to her, "Is that a cyber cat?"
"I have no idea," Arcee said, "But I'm convinced it's mocking me."
Optimus, who was limping, dragging himself over to them. He looked from Arcee, who was still having a staring contest with the cyber cat, to Bulkhead, who was silently judging her.
"Well," Optimus started, "Does it have an insignia?"
"Not that I can see..." Arcee replied.
The cyber cat made a little huff noise and lifted his head, proudly displaying the green insignia on his chassis. It looked a little like an autobots insignia, but not quite.
"What even is that?" Arcee asked, pointing at the odd insignia.
"I am afraid I do not recognize it..." Optimus replied, "Perhaps a sub-faction?"
"Doesn't look like any sub-faction we've come across," Bulkhead said.
"Ratchet," Optimus said into his comm, "We have discovered what we assume to be a cybercat that belongs to a currently unknown sub-faction. Can you see if we have it on our records?"
"That depends," Ratchet replied almost immediately, "What does it look like?"
"It is much like our insignia, but it is green and slightly more triangular."
"Hmmm... There is one, but there is very minimal information."
"Go on."
"There isn't even a registered name for it, but there is a little information. It currently only consists of five bots, minicons aren't registered. It says that it's led by a femme named Hawthorn of 'Vosicon' , there isn't much information around that."
Optimus glanced at the cyber cat, who was sweeping up sand with its tail. He was debating letting this creature come back with them, it did help Arcee. But could he trust it, there wasn't much information on its faction, let alone the cyber cat itself.
"Well?" Bulkhead finally broke the silence, "What are we gonna do about this?"
He gestured to the cyber cat. Arcee was trying to poke it, which was quite comical because the cyber cat was going with it. It kept trying to rub its face against her hand, and she wasn't understanding.
"Ratchet," Optimus had made his decision, "Open a groundbridge."
"What?" Arcee gawked, "We don't even know who this thing belongs to!"
"Arcee," Optimus said, "This creature seems to be on our side."
"I agree with Optimus," Bulkhead said, "It did save your aft from Screamer."
Arcee grumbled something as the groundbridge opened behind the small group. She stood up from her crouching position and followed the other towards the bridge. Arcee glanced back at the cybercat, who was still sitting there tilting its head.
"Are you coming or what?" Arcee asked.
The cyber cat yawned at her and padded over to her, following through the bridge.
They stepped through, the cyber cat glancing around in awe. The place seemed so big compared to it.
"Optimus," Ratchet said without even turning to them, "do you mind telling me what that is?"
