Pro-hero!BakugouKatsuki slumped in the plush chair he sat in, loosening his tie with a glass of whiskey in his hand.
He hated events. He hated the stuffy, fancy-ass suits he had to wear. This event wasn't even about him, why did he have to attend?
'To show the Hero Support that we appreciate everything they do for us!' Shitty Hair's words echoed through his head.
The Alpha perked up as he heard a familiar voice followed by nervous laughter. His gaze swept the room and he spotted a small, freckled Omega pressed back into a corner, knuckles white as he gripped the glass cup and gaze shifting as he searched for an escape, an Alpha trapping him with his body and demanding presence.
Katsuki's hackles rose with a growl in his chest. He swiftly got to his feet, people moving out of his way swiftly as the scent of burnt sandalwood radiated off of him.
Green doe-eyes met his, watery and scared.
The blond shoved the smaller Alpha away, hooking an arm around the startled Omega to pull him away.
"What the hell-"
"Back off!" Katsuki hissed, teeth bared in a snarl as he shot a glare over his shoulder. As his scent intensified, the Alpha backed down and dashed away. He scoffed and shook his shoulders to relax himself. He looked to the Omega he still held into his chest. "I'll crush him if he did anything to you."
"A-ahh, no, you don't have to do that," the greenette muttered, cheeks now flushed red. Katsuki almost purred at how cute he was.
The Alpha slowly released the Omega, glancing to the crowd to see their attentions quickly snap away from them and back into their previous conversations. "Deku, right?"
Katsuki recognized the Omega. How could he not, the kid's practically been in the background his whole life. They attended the same primary school, middle school and high school, but very rarely interacted. Katsuki even works with his agency and sees him there sometimes, completely concentrated on his work.
The Omega scrunched his nose, holding up his glass. "Ahh, no. It's actually Izuku."
"Pretty sure it's Deku."
Izuku blinked about to retort when he spotted the smirk on the pro-hero's face. "Are you teasing me?"
Katsuki shrugged and finished his whiskey. "Maybe, maybe not. I dunno. Maybe I just think it suits you better."
"You know what it means, right?"
"Yup."
The Omega huffed and rolled his eyes, but now he was relaxed.
Not many Omegas relaxed so easily around him. Katsuki found himself pleased that the Omega didn't mind his company. He supposed, however, that any company was better than the skeevy Alpha that pinned him against the wall.
"Parties aren't normally my thing, but my friends kinda dragged me here," Izuku admitted, messing with the cuffs of his dress coat.
