Shouto yawned and stretched, tail curling up behind his back, front paws splayed across his den floor, chest touching the ground and hindquarters in the air. He then shifted forward, hope lowering, back arched and head tilted as he felt the stretch all the way down his legs. He shook the rest of his slumber away and smacked his lips a few times, sauntering towards the entrance of his den.
He lifted a the pelt blocked the entrance and stepped outside into the fresh layer of snow. His ears flicked, nose twitching.
Not a sound and not a scent. Snow just fell, so the other animals must be still hidden away.
Peace and quiet. He'll long for winter once again when spring comes around. All the chirping, singing, everyone eager for a mate or teaching their little ones how to live.
Shouto didn't particularly care for the noise. However, it was better than the pack he had lived with. Better than his sire.
Better than that trainer.
He scoffed and shook again, don't need to be thinking of those things so early.
The wolf-Hybrid continued through the snow, paws sinking into it. Not too deep. Just enough to quiet everything.
One chirp in the trees above, wings flittering. Little cardinal hopping from branch-to-branch. Shouto watched amused with the little creature. He rolled his shoulders and sighed. A bird was much too small to eat on a snowy day.
He trotted forward, ears perked as he listened for any early morning prey.
Ahh, yes, his favorite clearing. Small with a little stream on the other side. The summer afternoons were best to lay in the soft grass and sunbathe, sunrays warming up his multi-colored coat.
His ears twitched at the snapping twig nearby. He crouched, focusing on the other side of the stream.
A deer hybrid - big and broad. Perfect meal to last Shoto a few days, possibly.
He stalked near the other Hybrid, keeping low to the ground.
The deer sniffed through the snow amd approached the babbling stream.
Both Hybrids stiffened at the sound of squeals and pounding paws. A blur of green darted from the trees, startling the deer and causing him to bilt back into the trees he came from. The green scrambled in the snow, slipping in his panic before finally managing to find solace beneath a dying bush coated in a good layer of white.
Shouto blinked slowly, still crouched low. He lifted his head and opened his jaw, inhaling deeply.
Heavy distress and heat pheromones were permeating the still air of the clearing.
Distressed Omega in heat is never a good thing. Especially one that is likely no where near their den.
Though, it is strange that they'd be in heat at this time. Heat season should be long over. Or hasn't even started yet.
