Because I am currently binging for a second time...

Katsuki still very clearly remembers the day he met Izuku Midoriya. He's a prick. A cocky, snub-nosed, dick that thinks he can look down his nose at a Prince. Always acting so witty and is utterly useless as Katsuki's manservant.

Izuku can't hold his own in battle, he's loud and clumsy on hunts, he's always forgetting his chores, he's lazy and sloppy and bad when he does manage to do them. He quips back at Katsuki, unafraid of the repercussions Katsuki regrettably never gave. Sure, he's nearly sacked Izuku several times, but there was always a reason to wind up keeping Izuku at his side.

Firstly, Izuku always seems to be the first to find out when magic is involved. He comes straight to Katsuki, bold-faced and chin-raised, expecting the Prince to whole-heartedly believe him just because he says it.

Well, if he's being honest with himself, Katsuki does now. Several times, Izuku has been proven right. Time and time again, Izuku has somehow managed to save Katsuki's ass. Him. A gangly, weak, useless servant has managed to keep Katsuki alive and somehow managed to break any ridiculous enchantment thrown their way.

Izuku has become Katsuki's lucky charm and he has found that he'll be damned before letting Izuku go. Izuku has become so integral in the Prince's life that now, Katsuki's cannot see a day without him. He is sure, somehow, by Izuku just being present, Katsuki will be spared of mortal wounds.

And still, even now as Katsuki reigns King over Camelot since his mother's passing, Izuku is still a thorn in his side.

However, he supposes he should have noticed so much sooner than he has. It wasn't merely luck that kept Katsuki alive. No, in fact, it was the very thing Katsuki was raised to hate. Raised to loathe and despise. Raised to squash and destroy.

Magic.

Magic is what has kept him alive, and he recognizes that now, grasping his bleeding side, red eyes wide in a combination of shock and disbelief and denial as Izuku's hand lowered, golden light dimming from his viridian eyes. The whirl of air that blasted two of the attackers into a tree, effectively rendering them useless, died out, and Izuku turned back to face his own group. His eyes locked on Katsuki's and he froze up. Katsuki saw the way his entire body locked up, the way his eyes blew wide in his own shock, and he knew he had been seen.

Katsuki wasn't sure what he was thinking. His thoughts raced so fast, they were intirely incoherent. His heart leapt into his drying throat, stomach cold and dropping.

This explained everything, yet nothing at all. It made no sense, but it did.

He's known Izuku for years, now. Interacted with him every single day - trusted him more than he trusted even his own mother. Izuku was his most trusted counsel, most trusted servant, and companion. Sure, he gives Izuku shit everyday, but he'd never be able to pick someone better to have by his side.

Yet, the magic... Katsuki never would have guessed. Never would have even crossed his mind. Yes, Izuku is strange and weird and shifty, but a sorcerer..? In a land that has outlawed magic, usage of such being punishable by death?

Katsuki was still grappling with his own strange, fond feelings towards the servant, and now has to add him being capable of magic usage to the mix of conflict inside his brain? He feels as if his head may just explode.
