Helluva Friend

Chapter 5

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T HAVE IT!?!" Loona shouted at the policeman.

We were inside the police station in the Lost and Found section. When we got to the desk, we told the guy in charge that she's missing a bag with her book, and other items. The bag was there all right, but there was one problem: The book was missing. Loona frantically looked through it to see if it's still there. There was only a set of keys, a smartphone, and a wallet. That was it. The book was the only thing missing.

"It's just as I said before ma'am; the bag was open when we found it. We checks to see what was inside. There was no book in it." The policeman said in a calm manner.

"Bullshit! You took it! Didn't you!?!"

"Ma'am! I said there was no book! We don't have it!"

"You lying c-" I immediately stopped Loona before she finished her sentence, out of fear that the police might arrest her.

"I'm sorry sir. She's new in this town." I assured him.

"It's alright."

The police hands us Loona's bag. The strap was broken, but otherwise it's in good condition. As soon as we got the bag, we left the building, and walked all the way to my apartment.

"Loona! What the hell was that?!" I asked her.

"What the hell was what?!" She snapped at me while charging her phone. Clearly she's back to being a bitch after that incident. We were not happy at each other.

Loona really got on my nerves now, and she doesn't even realize how much trouble she could've been. I was losing patience.

"You know damn well what!" I scolded her. "Shouting at a police!? Telling him he stole your book!? Are you fucking crazy!?!"

"I need that book!"

"So it's ok to shout at him!? Loona! He could've arrested you for that!! And I may not bail you out!! Do you even have any common sense!?!"

"I don't need common sense!!! I NEED MY BOOK!!"

"Oh my god! It's just a book! It's not worth going to jail over!! You've got to be the most stupidest girl on the planet!!"

"GO SIT ON A DICK YOU ASS!!"

We continued spitting insults at each other for a while ever since we got to my place. I just can't believe She would that. And here I thought we were starting to get along. I guess I spoke too soon. Now we're back to square one.

We eventually stopped and just turned away from each other. I went to my and played some Doom Eternal on my Switch just to vent out all my frustration, as well as getting some space away from Loona. At the same time, she was sitting next to her smart phone until it had enough power to turn on.

Loona looked through her phone to find a certain app on it. Once she's found the app, she opened it up and began exploring. Unknown to me, she was looking at her Instagram app, she typed several names on the search bar and pressed entered.

First, Loona was in her friend's page. Her friend, Octavia, who was the daughter of Prince Stolas. Loona and Octavia were best friend, and she misses her. After looking through her friend's page, she typed the next name on the search bar. After looking at a certain someone's page and see's another in the pic in what looks like a wedding picture, Loona's changed from anger to sadness.

She closed the app and sat down on her pullout bed. Her eyes were starting to water. She tried to hold it all in, but her heart was in pain. She sniffed a bit while covering her head on the pillow.

As I was killing some NPC on the game, I was still thinking about Loona. I tried to focus, but the thought of her just keeps popping up. Finally, I paused the game and went to her.

As soon as I opened the door, she quickly changed her expression and turned away from me. Seems like she doesn't want to show any weakness to anyone, especially me. I wasn't fooled.

"Loona." I called her in a sound of guilt.

"Go away." she said coldly. I tried again.

"Loona. Look. I-"

"I said go away!"

I tried to get close to her, but she heard my steps and threw a coaster at me. It's didn't hurt, but I was losing control of my temper. I breathed and tried again.

"Look, Loona. I-" This time she threw another coaster at me while flipping me off. I've had it enough. Clearly she's not worth the trouble of talking to.

"FINE! As soon as you recover, I WANT YOU OUT!!!" I screamed at her as I walked back to my bedroom and slammed the door...
