I limped away from him till I stood at the end of the room by the counter near the back wooden door. But he walked closer.

"Look, Aqua, why not, instead of fighting us, you work with us. Hm? Ever thought of embracing this new habitat?"

I gave him a cold stare. "You want me to be nice to the people that kidnapped me?"  I spoke sarcastically in a happy tone. "Oh no, everything's fine. Everything's great in fact. I'm not sad or hurt at all that I was abducted, kept captive against my will and got shot. Nothing wrong with that all. Nope. I'm fine. Wait NO...I'm having the BEST life a young adult could have."

A tear ran down my cheek as I folded my arms and leaned against the aluminium counter.

"Okay", he said calmly stepping closer. "I do apologise for wounds and injuries, you've experienced thus far. I never thought I'd have to tackle a woman before. Kinda feel bad."

"How could you not. You're not at all the guy I helped at the hospital."

"What do you expect", he crossed his arms. " Prince Charming, visiting orphanages, helping the poor with a legal stable job?". He scoffed. "Not everyone's life turns out like Cinderella you know. Most of us didn't have much of a choice to join the Mafia, so I'd appreciate it if you'd stop thinking that this is all about you."

His voice escalated with that last sentence. I said no more.

He sighed and Brushed his face with his palm. He headed to towards the door out. "Just...co-operate. That's all we ask.  'Cause with you being a witness to us killing that man you saw, they aren't gonna let you go any time soon. Especially with you being so relentless to escape."
He leaned with his fists against the door frame and looked at me. 
I looked the other way, my own mind buried in my thoughts. 

"You're gonna escort yourself back to your room. Or am I gonna have to drag you?"

I looked at me bandaged thigh then at him.

"Oh right", he remembered. 

He helped me back up to the room and locked the door again. But this time he stood right outside the door.

I lied on the bed and passed the time by falling asleep.
