Erin's POV:
I was on my way to work and grabbed a coffee at my favorite coffee shop. Everything was as usual. I ordered my coffee, payed and turned around to leave. That's when I heard a familiar voice saying my name. I looked up at the person and couldn't believe who I saw. It was Jay. The man who was my partner for a long time, my best friend , boyfriend. My soulmate. He always knew when something was wrong and how to make me smile after a bad day. It's just fit. " Jay ?...", is all I could say. Suddenly a lot of questions and memories popped up in my head. After all I did . After all what happened he came to see me ? Find me ? " What are you doing here ?"
He smiled. The Jay Halstead smile I loved so much appeared. "I came to find you" "To find me?-.... okay. Umm look. I have to get to work. I'm already late. Umm just give me a call or a message ? ", I said , still in shock to see him after all those years.
He nodded. "Yes , sure". I quickly nodded in reply, giving him a small smile and made my way out of the coffee shop to my car , still not fully processed what just happened.

Jay's POV:
My heart was still racing even after she left. Seeing Erin just made it clearer for me that I needed her back. How much I missed her the past years. I could tell that she was really surprised as she saw me. But I would have probably act the same way. I mean I sent her a message after years of silence and suddenly I stand in front of her in a coffee shop. I was so lost In thoughts that I left the coffee shop without even buying a coffee and making my way back to my hotel room. I thought about what to do next. Any move could be too much or fast. I didn't want to catch her off guard too much so I decided to just give her a quick text: „Hey Erin. I know you are probably are still really surprised and blindsided but I came all the way to find you and I did faster than I expected. I don't Want to force you to anything but I'd really like to meet with you again so we can talk. I just... I really missed you and I needed to see you. Stay safe ".
I didn't exactly know if this was a appropriate message and didn't know if she would even answer but I just couldn't stop myself. Especially not after seeing her after all this time again. As my mind continued to wander, my phone vibrated and I saw a message popping up at the screen.
