"Years from now a situation will occur that will have a negative effect on many lives." Lisette paused. "One in particular. All of the things that have happened around you are to make sure that that future action does not happen." His leg flinched as he tried to stand up. Damn! He thought. Though he had managed to drag his slowly becoming useless body away from the dust and debris, there was no way he could get the strength to stand much less walk again. He rubbed some dust off his face. "And you are completely current that I am the cause of... whatever horrible thing happens later?"

The girls gaze remained still. "...yes."

"And how is ruining my life now going to change anything? I could swear revenge against you."

Her eyes widened. "That would just add to the damage done..."

Drew sighed. He knew she wouldn't waver in her thought that he was a horrible human being. What will he do that could be so bad? Whatever it is it had to do something with her. But he didn't have time to think about that now. His main priority was getting medical attention. Drew was pretty sure his leg was broken. His vision was dizzy from the explosion. Asking the girl for help was never something to consider. He could either attempt to walk/crawl back to the station or wait for someone to find him.

She just watched his face trying to read what he was thinking. "Seeing as you do not have much time left, I can answer all of your questions now."

Drew froze. So now that he was going to die she could finally spill the beans?

Complying, he asked. "Are you kidding me? I barely have energy to breathe."

"Then you better start asking quickly."

"Fine fine. Who really are you?"

She sat down in front of him. "As you already know my name is Lisette. Lisette Carlston. I came back here from the future."

He didn't even care if she was lying at this point. "What year are you from?"

"2043"

"...do you know me in that time?"

"You were my co-worker in a laboratory. We worked in the same department. "

Hold up. "I became a scientist?"

"Yes."

"Alright um were we friends?"

Lisette paused. "Yes. Great friends in fact."

"Then why are you trying to make your friends life a living hell now?"

"You are not my friend." Her eyes became darker as she continued. "I have only know the much older version. You are nothing but a child."

Drew backed up from the sudden anger in her voice. "Ok whatever but seriously why did you do all of this to me?"

"In the future you were always a very hard working person. Putting your job before everything else. I remember one time you stayed up till 2 o'clock am to finish a project.."

This was the first time Drew heard her talk like an actual person. Her voice had always been extremely dry and monotone. But now he could hear the slightest bit of happiness. That was short lived.

"But over time it became more than just a passion. You were becoming obsessed. You stopped eating spending most of your time in the lab. The test you were running began pushing the limits of what was morally right."

"Like what?" He asked not sure if he really wanted to know the answer.

"I will not go into detail but for one you sent your wife to pick up supplies at another lab far out of town. You had purposely damaged the car before she left. And from what I heard the car slowly caught on fire and exploded on the road."

"Seriously? That-"

She cut him off with rising anger. "I am not finished. The worst part was the items you had asked her to pick up were bodies of disassembled animals and other things that may as well given the lady severe mental damage."

Drew was silent for a moment. No he could never do something horrible like that. "How do I know you're not making this up?"

"You were the one who told me before the experiment began everything that would happen. And you said it was for research purposes only." Lisette's voice was on the edge of utter rage. "You gave no second thought to killing your own wife to accelerate your studies. But she had no died in the explosion like you had planned. She was sent over to a near by hospital where she get medical care very quickly. But she had found out about your plans."

"Wait! If you knew about this why didn't you do anything to stop me, contact the police or something."

The girl lowered her head. "I had thought that maybe in time you would have come to your senses. That was my mistake. I never attempted to stop your when things got out of hand."

Well sucks to be you. "Was that all I did?"

"Sadly, no. That was the first of three."

Drew wiped his face as staying awake was becoming more difficult by the minute. No more stalling. He told himself. "Ok so I was a horrible person I get it and you said there were three test or whatever I did right?"

"Yes."

"So I'm just taking a wild guess here but, the car crash, hospital burning and just now the train crash were similar to the things I did."

"Yes."

"Here's what I don't get though." He coughed. "Why not just kill me the first time? Not go through all this trouble?"

"You were supposed to die but.."

"You saved me at the last minute."

Lisette's eyes widened. She looked as though she wanted to reply but something was holding her back.

Drew continued. "You said that you never attempted to stop me back then correct? That we were friends. And I'm going to say because of that you couldn't go through with killing me. That's why this last accident was extremely more severe than the last two."

Lisette simply nodded. "But everything is over now. No one is coming to rescue you now. You will die out here alone."
