Drew managed to kick the car door open. Holding his sleeve over his mouth, he crawled out and onto the side of the road. The flames and smoke from the car burned his eyes and lungs. Coughing Drew digged in his pocket for a cell phone. Damn! It's still in the car. He was stuck. sitting on the side of a street in the middle of nowhere just staring at a car on fire. And just then he realised he was only one who made it out. His cousin was still in there.

"This is the feeling of loss. You could do nothing but watch. Hold on to that. That feeling of helplessness. Though this is not your fault, you still block that fact out." Looking up Drew saw a girl standing next to him just watching the car burn. She had long straw straight black hair. She wore a long black dress that made her look like just a spirit with no legs or feet or hands. Drew thought maybe he was just hallucinating, there had been no one else on the road for quite awhile. He didn't see any houses or buildings of any kind either. Just the long stretch of forest.

"Who..even are you?" He asked.

The girl slowly turned to look at him. Her eyes were a intense bright green compared to her dull expression. Her voice sounded far too old for her appearance."Just a spectator."
