"Hey, sleeping beauty... We're going to the gym. You comin'?"

Bakugo rolled away from the unfamiliar voice, and grunted, still very much lost in the dregs of sleep. "...Fuck off."

"Copy that," Cadence nodded, hopping down from his bunk and pulling his curtain closed. "Looks like it's just you and me, Ari," she whispered as she pulled on her sneakers.

Aria yawned and frowned longingly at the curtained bunks above their beds. "I wish I was naïve like them. So free. So..."

"Irritating?" Cadence finished for her.

"Yes. Exactly that. Fuck those sleepy bitches."

The two of them hopped off of the bus, and climbed into the waiting town car, where Chord and Dorian waited with Otis. They talked idly about morning inspections, about encore numbers to practice during the final run-through that night, and about costume changes they weren't looking forward to. The trip wasn't long, but it was one of the only times the kids could talk in private without being overheard by their parents or bystanders of some kind. So they took advantage of the privacy.

And Otis drove slowly for their sakes.

Bakugo awoke to panic.

His least favorite way to begin the day.

"Hey shit for brains, the girls are gone," Shinso snapped, throwing a pillow at Bakugo's head as he hopped into clean pants. He fell and got back up after muttering a creative string of curses, rechecking the whole length of the tour bus for the women they were supposed to be guarding.

Bakugo sat up straight in his bunk, yawning and frowning at Shinso. "What do you fuckin' mean 'they're gone'?" His hair stuck up in strange ways, pressed flat in some spots where he'd slept too long.

Yanking on his shoes, Hitoshi hopped to a stop in front of Bakugo's bunk and said, "Exactly what I said, idiot. We're the only two people here."

Just then, the door to the tour bus opened, and both boys' heads whipped around, hoping to find the girls there. But, instead, they found Rocket coming up the steps with Remix on a turquoise leash. "Hey, you're up," Rocket said, nodding to the two of them, purple dreads swinging, "Breakfast is over on the main bus if you want it, but it's almost lunch time, which means the kids'll be back soon to order food and start the final rehearsal."

"Back from where?" Bakugo spat, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"The gym...? Weren't you listening yesterday or this morning?" Rocket frowned at both of them. She unclipped Remix from the leash and let the demon free, watching as the dog beelined it for Shinso and immediately asked for scratches, which he supplied plenty of. Sighing, Rocket shook her head. "You two are idiots. Just go eat breakfast and ask for Jesse. He'll start showing you the ropes." Without any more nonsense, Rocket swung into her seat at the head of the bus and took out her novel, immediately diving in.

Hitoshi and Katsuki exchanged a look of exasperated resignation. "Give me ten minutes," Bakugo grunted, swinging himself out of bed and shuffling toward the bathroom.

"Make it five," Hitoshi shot back, just to rile him up.

"I said ten, motherfucker, and I meant it," Bakugo said, glaring.

Smirking, Hitoshi shrugged. "Whatever floats your boat, man."

"You're just as annoying as I remember."
