Hi babes! Can you believe it? We made it to the end of Void!

[Cue the happy dance here!]

There's always so much time between the end of my stories that I forget what to write here sometimes. But I do know that I have notes about how Void came about, as well as some excerpts for you to read, including the original ending for Void, which I replaced because it didn't feel intense enough.

I hope you enjoy some of these bonus excerpts!

(For context, this is after Cade and Kat snuck out of the hotel and the paparazzi crashed their sort-of date; this was the original beginning to chapter fifteen)

"Fuck France. Good riddance."

"Kat, you can't just say that. It's a whole goddamn country, and I'm sure you have fans there. You don't want them to get upset, do you?"

"I can say whatever the fuck I want. Fuckin' fight me, Blue."

"Please. With that busted-ass hand, I'll win and you know it."

The two of them bickered in the back of the limo, which left from Paris at the crack of dawn, through the Chunnel, and toward London. For the entire seven hour drive, Remix slept on the seat between them, huffing at their noisiness. Hitoshi and Aria slept on the other seat, both leaning on a pile of pillows and blankets between them and snoring loudly enough to wake Remix more than once.

The night before, after returning to the hotel from their Parisian adventure, Cade earned an angry scolding from her mother and step-father before she took off with Kat to get his arm checked out. The doctor they found was no Recovery Girl, but they were happy to sign the NDAs and scowled at Katsuki a lot, which made Cadence feel better because she was a little mad at him too. Her anger mixed with her relief from escaping the paparazzi and her gratitude from being rescued by Kat, all combining into some weird emotion in her chest... one that made her want to kiss him again.

(The original end of the climax, AKA the end of chapter 28)

"Kat—" Cadence gasped from the floor, her hand coming up to reach desperately for him. Her lips were blue.

That was all it took to distract Katsuki long enough for Bryant to pull a knife from god knows where, nicking Kat's arm and drawing more blood. Katsuki skidded to a stop beside Cadence, his breathing ragged and his arm slowly dripping even as he held it out to protect her.

Bryant stood above them, licking the edge of the blade.

Another jolt of electricity shot through his veins and shattered Katsuki's concentration. He grunted, curling in on himself out of protection, paralyzed with pain. But Bryant was there in a flash.

"You really thought I didn't notice the change in Cadie's blood?!" Bryant yelled, laughing maniacally as he stomped and kicked Katsuki in the ribs over and over until blood spurted from between Kat's lips. "You really thought I was so stupid as to not realize who would willingly, happily, give up their blood for her? You thought wrong, Dynamight!"

It was dumb, a reckless move on Kat's part. He should've known that Bryant could tell his step-children's blood apart from anyone else's. With every kick to his chest, Kat got a little angrier at himself. He should've known that Bryant's quirk could tell blood types apart, or at the very least, differentiate between donors by taste. Stupid.
