"I feel like a badass."
Kyoka Jiro smirked at her reflection in the exterior of the boys' bus. "Bury me in this suit, because I will rip death's ass out through his teeth and come back kicking in it," she muttered, smoothing over the silky blazer of her all-black bodyguard uniform.
Beside her, Camie rolled her eyes. "Calm your nonexistent tits, Jack," she said, filing her nails as they waited for the boys to finish up inside. "You obvi need more power suits in your wardrobe."
"You say that like you have so many," Jiro grumbled, fixing her tie.
Camie shrugged, tucking her nail file into the inner pocket of her jacket. "I mean, if you think seven is too many, then sure," she smiled tauntingly. "One for each day of the week, bitch."
Jiro stared at the strange girl, a little scared of the way her brain worked. Luckily, the arrival of Shinso and Bakugo saved her from responding.
"What's up, extras?" He and Shinso strolled up in matching suits, twin bored expressions on their faces. "Waiting for your nerds?"
"Sure are, hot stuff," Camie answered, shooting Bakugo a wink as she snapped her gum.
Katsuki sneered at the girl and her unwanted advances. "Don't."
"Anyway," Hitoshi interrupted with an exaggerated roll of his eyes, "We came over to talk to you guys about the binder and your guard training earlier. Anything... weird happen?"
Kyoka and Camie exchanged a confused look. "Not really?" Jiro responded with a shrug, "I mean, everything's been kinda tense and weird since we got here, but we are pro heroes... I just figured that was normal."
"So you didn't read the manual yet?" Shinso pressed.
"Nuh uh," Camie said, twirling hair between her fingers. "Jack and I were gonna look it over tonight after the show. Ya know, on the plane."
Bakugo grunted and crossed his arms. "The sooner the better. Shit's weird around here."
Just then, the group's earpieces crackled to life, sputtering static and feedback directly into their brains. All of them hissed and scrambled away from each other, hoping that the space would alleviate the intensity of the feedback. "Come in, Jiro, test test," Jesse grunted into the communicator, "Come in, Utsushimi. Testing? Test? Anyone out there?"
"We're all right here, Jesse," Hitoshi answered for all of them, rubbing his temple with his free hand. "What's up?"
"The kids are ready to move," Jesse said, "You need to escort them from the bus to Entry Four without issue. They can stop to greet fans along the way, but don't let anyone get too close. You never know what quirks are out there. Be safe."
Hitoshi looked between his coworkers, his friends, and nodded. "Sure thing. We'll be right in."
"Copy that," Jesse said, the line falling dead right after.
The dull hum of the waiting fans filled in the empty air, their cheers and screams for elixir and the kids individually haunting and strange against the setting sun. Without a word, Hitoshi and Katsuki turned back toward their bus, knocking at the door when they arrived.
Aria popped out first, decked out in black Converses, black high-waisted jeans, and a black-and-white cropped jersey with 00 as the numbers and elixir listed as the name on the front and back. Her crimson hair was messy and textured, but her makeup was crisp; black liner emphasized her eyes, matching the black lipstick perfectly applied to her grinning lips. "Reporting for duty, captain!" she chirped, saluting to Hitoshi when she landed on the pavement. Giggles burst out of her when she noticed Hitoshi and Katsuki in their matching black suits, but she managed to not say anything too brutal about it.
