I stood in my room for what felt like ages.
It's not like I didn't have anything to do... it's just that I was in a slight amount of shock over what just happened.
I mean... sure, it's not like I wasn't expecting something like this to happen--actually, I was already starting to prepare for it...
I guess the main thing bothering me was how fast it happened. Like... I didn't properly get to say goodbye.
My good friend--whose actual name I had never learned, only calling him 'doc'--had just passed away.
No... he was murdered.
I still can't believe it. The scenario just keeps running, over and over, through my head. The way how, even on the brink of death, he still helped me.
The way he groaned and clenched his teeth at merely talking me through the steps of administering my new quirks...
He was suffering... and yet he still helped me.
"Izuku!"
He... he used my name...
He was the only person I trusted with that little bit of information. Everyone else, I tell to call me by using pronouns, or directly talking to me (Or, in Toga's case, an assortment of pet names).
And now... he's gone.
Damn it...
I thrusted my fist against the wall, letting out a raspy cry as it hit. I needed to get this crap out of my body before I get too distracted. But where would I go?
"Darling? Are you okay?" Toga's worried voice chimed in from the other room.
"Y-Yeah, sorry! I... um... tripped! I'm fine now!" I tried to reassure.
"But the crash was directed to the wall-"
"Listen! I have to go somewhere, so watch the house for me, okay?" I cut her off. There was silence for a few seconds, before she agreed.
"Okay, see you when I get back."
I knelt down to grab the crate, filled with the doctor's final gift to me: his recent shipment of stolen quirks.
My body, and the crate, were enveloped in a purple mist. After a few seconds, I felt the wind brush against my face, as I was now on the roof of one of the apartment buildings I go to when I need to let off some steam.
I carefully set the crate down. I didn't want it to be left in my room, but I also didn't want to be careless with it.
After setting it down, I turned back, only to see another person here on the roof.
A girl.
A girl!
She had long periwinkle hair that wove around her like a blanket, all the way down to her knees. The tips of her hair met with a pair of black stockings, which formed around her legs. Covering her feet were a pair of pink shoes, with white soles.
I couldn't see her face, so I decided to get her attention. Taking a few deep breaths, I braced myself.
"Um, Hello?"
She tensed, and slowly turned around to face me.
Oh, my...
My eyes met with a pair of sparkling blue orbs, that completely took my breath away. Her hair formed around her gentle face, and spread to cover parts of her white dress, which ended just above her knees.
