"How are you feeling, Deku?"
Kacchan stood in the doorway, leaning against the wooden outline of the door and looking dapper in his new suit (the old one had too many burn marks)
"Incredibly nervous..." I let out an awkward chuckle and clenched my hands together, looking back down at the floor.
Ever since that day, when I first told Nejire I loved her, we've been practically inseparable. We did everything together, from eating, to shopping, to sleeping (Although sometimes we a bit more than sleep)
She even came to Dr. Maruki's office with me to help me through my feelings. And, in just a few short months, I had graduated from the Villain Rehabilitation program, and joined the rest of class 1A in the Hero Course.
It didn't take long after that for Kacchan to figure out who I was. Oh, man, the look on his face was priceless!
He apologized for what he did when we were younger, though only after I beat him in a head-to-head fight. Which (he doesn't know this) I was purposely holding back so Nejire wouldn't make a fuss.
Since Nejire was a third year, she graduated two years before I did. Though, Nezu (Like the freaking amazing mouse he is) gave her permission to stay on campus with me.
I often went on patrols with her, which was a good way to spend extra time with her, while also earning credit on the streets for my work.
And it was a good thing I did go with her, because we ran into one of my old clients, Overhaul, with a crying, bandaged little girl. He didn't expect us, and we were able to arrest him, taking the child back to UA. Her name was Eri, and she was the cutest, sweetest little sunshine child I have ever seen.
Nejire and I immediately asked for custody over her, to which Nezu agreed. A few months later, she became our daughter, and we loved her more than anything.
When I finally graduated, we bought an apartment together, and have been living with each other as a family ever since. I went on to become a hero (Who would've thought, am I right?) alongside her, reaching the #2 spot on the hero leaderboards, second only to Mirio.
One day, I finally decided to propose. I was so nervous, but I had the perfect plan for how to do it. I asked Yaoyorozu to make Eri a shirt that said, 'Will you marry Daddy?' on it, and gave it to Kurogiri for when I had everything set up.
Kurogiri became the primary father figure in both Nejire's and my life, as neither of us had an actual dad anymore. Him and Nejire became especially close, as they both shared a particularly large fondness for people-watching and analytics.
Kurogiri became Eri's favorite person besides us, and would always ask 'Papa-Kuro' to go to the places she learned about at school with her. I asked him to take her around Musutafu, and went out with Nejire, like we usually did.
We went out for lunch, before coming up to a small park on the outskirts of the city, where we took Eri to play with her friends. We strolled around the park, enjoying each other's company, before Kurogiri and Eri showed up, with Eri wearing the shirt.
She ran up to Nejire and hugged her, before showing her the 'cool new shirt daddy got for me!'.
And the rest is history.
"Why are you nervous?" Kacchan asked me, stepping in the room and sitting next to me on the small bench I was on.
"Well... I don't know, Kacchan. What if I mess up along the way, or what if I'm not a good husband?" I asked.
