chapter twenty

one week later

"george!" diana said. she ran to him rapping her legs around him. he held her softly and chuckled into her. she smiled into his chest. she finally lifted her head and met georges eyes. finally she kissed him. everyone passed by them. finally they let go and diana stood up. finally ginny came up to them. her eyes widened after seeing diana. "gin!"

dianas smile grew wider. ginny ran up to her and pulled her into hug so tight she couldn't breath. "how was malfoy manor!" she teased after letting go. george came up to diana and rapped his arms around her waist. she placed her hands on his.

"horid. mum was fine. but dad acted like I wasnt even there. I didnt leave my room once. I had draco bring me food. but other than that it was fine. hopefully I dont have to go back for awhile. and if I do. someones coming with me." she laughed ginny took her hand and pulled her onto the train. george on the right of her. ginny found them a empty spot and they sat down. soon lee came in and then fred. diana leaned over to george to whisper something to him. "whats wrong."

george turned to her and smiled. "nothing. i've just really missed you." he whispered back.

"did you guys hear theres a rumor theres gonna be a new kid. I hope hes not annoying." lee blurted out. everyone looked at each other.

everyone settled into the great hall. the chattering grew louder as more people came in. until finally Dumbledore yelled. "QUIET!" he yelled over everyones loud voices. everyone soon looked over at him, "I expect you have all heard about a new student."

everyones voices started again. "I knew lee wasnt lying." the twins said in unison.

suddenly everyones voices hushed as the doors opened slowly. and suddenly they all saw adryan. "uh oh." diana said to ginny. george grabbed dianas hand as adryan walked down the pathway.

Mcgonagall pulled out the sorting hat and the famous stool. dumbledore took adryan by his side. "everyone this is adryan trevino" he said importantly. "he will be sorted today."

everyone turned their eyes to him. most of the girls were chattering among themselves. diana stayed silent. adryan sat down and mcgonagall placed the hat on his head. "hmm- right right. interesting." I didnt take long for the sorting hat to place him. "it'll have to be.. GRYFFINDOR."

everyone in gryffindor started clapping for him. soon adryan found himself sitting next to ginny. everyone was surrounding him and clapping. diana smiled at adryan peering over ginnys shoulder. "congrats." diana mouthed. adryan smiled at her and continued to talk to everyone at the table. nobody laid their eyes off of him.

finally dinner was done and diana was full. she excused herself and went up to her clean dorm, where she found her roommate. "hey diana can you tell me how this looks on me." beth said before looking up at diana.

"beth! I missed you. how was your holdiay." she smiled. beth went over to her and hugged her tightly.

"it was great. I missed my family and was finally able to see them. how about you?" she smiled. I looked around at our spotless dorm room and set down my books

"it was good for the first week. I spent the whole week at the weasleys house. and then I got into a fight with angelina. she got sent home and without a doubt her parents complained and I had to go to malfoy manor." I said in disgust. beth looked at me with a frown on her face. I softly smiled at her in reassurance. "hey its not a big deal. mum was fine for the week and so was draco. but dad didnt even know I was there. or so he acted like it."

"i'm sorry love." she said in her hard french accent. I smiled at her and turned away putting all my stuff away. "a birdie told me you're going out for the quidditch team. chaser. thats a big roll."

I turned my head in disbelief. "who told you." I joked. beth smiled and turned her head continuing to put her things away

"madam hooch. I had a meeting with her to discuss the plays since i'm the captain." she bragged. diana laughed. "so are you excited?"

"yeah sure. i've wanted to be on the team since first year. but i'm quite terrified. we have to play slytherin right?" her voice lingered

"yeah. but with the right training you're going to be fine. and if worst comes to worst you can always just confuse them. they arent the brightest after all." she smiled. her words made dianas stomach settle. "okay enough about school. did you see the new kid. wow wow wow. hes lucky i'm a lesbian.

diana laughed loudly. "yeah he sure is. but with all seriousness, we've been friends for a super long time. yet I know basically nothing about him. i don't know why but hes not the most chattery." she laughed. beth placed her hand on dianas shoulder. and they broke out with laughing. "okay come on. its late and I need to say goodnight to george before the stairs don't allow me to."

beth waved diana off of the room. diana's stomach filled with knots. finally she made it into his room. she let a soft knock go upon his door. "come in." his voice lingered. diana walked into his room taking a few steps before seeing him. "oh. hey."

dianas stomach cleared off as she walked to george. not seeing adryan sitting on the far corner bed. "so. I just wanted to say goodnight." her voiced lingered. george didn't say anything. his eyes lingered. over the room. never landing on her. "okay so. i'm gonna leave."

dianas mind grew blank. she watched him return to folding his clothes. unfazed by her presence. she folder her hair behind her ears and scoffed angrily. she decided to walk away. avoiding a argument. she walked out of the room and closed his door. unable to process what just happened. "hey. you're back early." beth joked as diana walked back into their dorm.

"yeah well. george isn't very found of me at the moment. can't seem to understand why." her dry voice said. soon she walked over to her bed and pulled a sweater and short on. her blank expression stayed on her face. the dorm was quiet as she settled into bed.

"don't worry. he's probably just tired. give him a day or so. and If he's still acting like this dump his ass." she joked as she turned off the lights and settled into bed. diana pulled the covers up to her neck and sank into bed. questioning her relationship.
