chapter twenty one

the rain pelted on the rooftop that morning. its gloomy weather turned the rooms dark as they woke up. beth was awake much earlier than diana. she groaned as she got up and rubbed her eyes. her hair was loose from being pulled up all night. beth smiled at her. "good morning. breakfast starts in ten minutes." she said. diana pulled herself up and fixed her hair in the mirror before putting her clothes on.

diana groaned as she tiredly tied her tie. "just once, I want to wear normal clothes. whats with the ties. we dont go to a prep school." she joked as she finally finished. she combed through her hair and sucessfully parted it down the middle after one too many tries. "god finally."

beth joked as she pointed to her perfectly braided hair. diana laughed and walked back to her backpack shoving her books in it. "so. the new boy came by the dorm looking for you. said he wanted to walk you to class." beth said closing her thick book. "he acts like he has a crush on you."

"adryan? no way beth. plus i am dating george. uh I think." she said unsure. beth laughed and got up from her bed and started putting her stuff in her bag. "want to walk with me to breakfast?"

beth smiled "of course but don't read all breakfast.". they both slung their bags over their shoulders and walked out together.

breakfast was boring. diana pulled out her book and started reading. soon she noticed only beth and ginny was around her.  "hey gin." she said leaning over the table. "wheres your brother."

ginny noticed he wasn't around. her eyes grew big at the sight before her eyes. "hes um." she said pointing down at the middle of the table. diana took a deep breath and moved her eyes. soon she saw george with angelina in his lap. she bent down and kissed him. she ran her fingers through his hair knowing that was his favorite place to be flirted with. her stomach lept. diana got up taking her water in her hand. "diana! what are you doing!"

diana was carried by her thoughts. her mind wouldn't go to rest. soon she found herself standing ten inches away from george. "hey, georgie. hope you don't mind, but its time." she gulped. angelina looked up and smiled. but soon found herself drenched. diana poured great amounts of water over georges head. drenching him and angelina. gripping her cup, adding more water in.  "fuck you. it's over!"

everyone began whispering as diana walked away. angelina and george tried drying themselves. diana walked straight past ginny and beth and out of the great hall. ginny clenched her teeth. "you're an idiot george weasley." she yelled across the table. beth grabbed everyones stuff and they began to follow diana out of the hall. "diana!"

diana looked back at them and stopped in her tracks. she stayed calm. "i'm sorry guys. I truely am but I can't do this right now. I need to clear my head." beth handed her bag back and diana clutched it in her hand. diana hugged them each and ginny kissed her cheek before letting go. "thank you."

diana walked away. paled face. unable to shed a single tear. soon she found herself infront of fred. she scoffed. fred saw the anger in her eyes. "whats happened?" he asked firmly. diana laughed.

"oh so he didn't brag about it to you. what a big shocker. well you brother fucking cheated on me with guess who." there was a moment a silence. "angelina. yeah so you guys have more in common than you like to admit. now excuse me I have to clear my head before transfiguration."

fred stared frozenly at dianas soft lips. diana shoved past him and fast paced walked to the nearest bathroom. " diana-" fred said as diana disappeared in the distance.

as diana walked into the bathroom she became overwhelmed.  but she soon found olivia standing in the bathroom. olivia finally watched her eyes fill with tears. diana collapsed to the floor in disbelief, but olivia caught her and held her close. "diana?" she finally got out.
