"So coffee was good" Emil beamed at Kyle, who still had a scowl on his face, eyes pinched in concentration as he drove, they had just dropped of Cassandra who made it her mission to blabber on about Reon and Joon, leaving Emil to deal with the aftermath,

"Are you upset about something?"

"No" Kyle had to stay his temper so he clenched the steering wheel,

"I take it you don't like the idea of Joon and Reon together", Emils voice was void of any malice when he said Reons name, he sounded like he was concerned,

Clench, at this rate he was going to dent the wheels

Regardless Kyle answered rather softly his voice was calm "And what gives you that idea" green pools look dark enough to absorb any light

"Clench that wheel any tighter and it'll snap into two" giving him a once-over Kyle could see the latter smiling,

"Great you're having fun at my expense" he stopped at a red light, and gave Emil his full attention,

"No I'm not" Emil denied, "Its just so evident that you're upset and I'm very good at reading people and guessing and solving puzzles too..."

The light turned amber

Kyle leaned closer towards the rambling boy before speaking softly "So you're puzzled by me, Millie-boy", he laughed when Emils eyes bulge out after hearing the name,

He was cute, as cute as Joon, if he looked closely Emil and Joon had similar characters somewhat,

The light turned green,

"Only my friends call me that" he says jutting his chin and folding his arms, this was all Joon's fault,

"It's a cute name" Kyle mused, "And I won't call you that again if it makes you uncomfortable"

"No it's fine"

"Really"

"No"

Kyle burst out laughing, Emil joined him

"I could help you out, you know" he muttered

"Help with what" Kyles eyes where still on the road,

"With Jae Joon" as casual as it sounded it left a bad taste in his mouth, Emil wasn't one to dwell long  on unpleasant feelings so he  ignored the bad taste,

"What do you mean by that" he turns to give Emil a confused look,

"What do you mean by what do I mean, you've got competition" Emil scrunched up his face becoming all the more annoyed as Kyle burst into laughter again,

"What's so funny" his chocolate brown eyes turn dark with contempt, here he was trying to help this nice guy and all he did was laugh at him,

Kyle wiped at the corner of his eyes, "You're what's funny"

"Don't you like Joon?, he didn't have time to beat about

"Yes I do, well at least not the way you and cassey think" bringing the car to a halt,

"What!!! How dare you not like Joon, he is awesome, beautiful, smart, well tempered, the complete package, it'll be a shame to let him go"

"Do you like Joon" Kyle asked suddenly,

"Of course I do, but not that type of wa—ohhhh I see"

"Well I guess it's all balanced out now"

"Really how so" Kyle was baiting the brunette to talk more and he didn't know,

"Well now that we've got Reon who likes Joon, and Joon would eventually end up liking him, leaving you all alone which is what you deserve for not reciprocating the feelings he has had for you"

"Oh. so Joon likes me that way" Kyle was genuinely confused and a bit hurt, he thought Joon saw him as a very good friend and someone he could trust almost like an elder brother hence he acted that way and before he knew it, he was always concerned and got very over protective, maybe once or twice he almost acted on impulse and wanted to cross the line, that was at the beginning, but to think he actually liked him,

"Yes....now I've said too much, I need to go, Cassey is going to kill me and Joon" Emil was muttering to himself as he undid the seatbelt reaching for the door in a haste but Kyle grabbed his arm and tugged causing him to turn around,

"I didn't know Joon liked me in a romantic way, and I'm truly sorry if I was ignorant and it hurt him, but as you've said it's all balanced out, although I still don't like Reon—

"Exactly we thought you were jealous and how did you not realized Joon's feelings, it was so evident"

"I wasn't jealous, like I said I'm very protective of Joon, and I noticed from the very first time they met Joon hadn't been himself"

"What do you mean by that"

"It's not my place to tell, why don't you ask Joon about it" he says

"I will, I knew something was wrong-" Emil looked down at Kyle's hand still holding him "You should let go"

"Sorry about that, you're very easy to talk to Emil, I mean you all are and you care about each other, it's good seeing you three together" he wanted to make small talk, anything to keep Emil longer,

"I guess so, Joon and Cassey are my everything, I'm an orphan, it's just me and my guardian who took care of me until I meet Joon and Cassey in high school, it was......it seemed, fated" he had that lost look in his eyes, the same look he had when they were in hospital,

"Are you okay Emil"

"Yes-Yes, I am, I have to go" he got out really fast and quick, heading for the door, Kyle kept his eyes on him,

Emil stopped when he got to the door, hands on the handle, turning abruptly to say thank you only to see Kyle getting out,

"You should go inside" Kyle says taking a step close to Emil,

"Thank you for looking after Joon with us and for dropping me off"

"No problem" Kyle says,

"Goodnight Kyle, see you around" Emil turned to go in,

"Goodnight Emil"
